I think the trial of saddam hussein if started before the election would greatly help W. I read last month where the Iraq government had asked it's court system to promply bring that monster to trial, but nothing has occured yet.

The bottom line here is, this site is no more reliable than if I would post my own site based on my Republican leanings. I currently in my own tally have Bush with over 300 electoral votes, but I don't go posting it on the net as if it were some scientific poll.
So what happened to the other 49 EV? Since 264 > 270 Zogby is predicting the House will determine the next president. Even if the House flipped from Republican to DemocRAT, it is unlikely the DemocRATS would win a majority of the state delegations to the House. Therefore Bush wins.
Good news in the war would certainly buoy Republicans, but I think the same argument against the bad news goes against the good news. People who are going to vote on the basis of the war, have long since made up their minds. Just my humble opinion though.
