Kerry will speak from the same auditorium where President Bush, two years ago, laid out the case for goign to war with Iraq. What position will Kerry espouse today?

I think the Kerry press pool isn't going to like this. Kerry's team billed this as a major policy speech, encouraging every news outlet to cover it.
Now it turns out to be just another mish-mash of his previous statements with a few new slogans thrown in. They may be biased, but the press hates being misled, especially when they're all so hungry for Kerry to find his voice on Iraq.
I predict all the headlines will turn into "Kerry still offers no new policy on Iraq".

We can have him encased in polyurethane so that he is well preserved. Put a button on his chest that museum goers can press and get a minute or two of his stump speech.
This would work for ShoveIt!® as well. I say display 'em as a pair.

He's always bitching that there's no plan to win the peace. He knows there is no way possible to win the peace in this kind of war.

I didn't hear anything specific. Lots of "Bush is wrong" and "I would be different" but no indication of HOW.
Plus the phony laugh is enough to make you want to throw a pie in his face.

He's always bitching that there's no plan to win the peace....while refusing to put forward a plan.

That's like his Midnight Madness Muskie Meltdown Moments speech. It was billed as major response to GWB's acceptance speech. Between the slurred speech and rambling, it was difficult to figure out what Kerry was trying to say. A major response--is wasn't.

Please, please tell me that's an EXACT QUOTE! "We need to do a bunch of things in Iraq" is an accurate quote. Heard it myself.

New Republican ad LISTING SPECIFIC PROPOSALS President Bush has made running right now. They are listed and numbered, read by alternating male and female voice, with the suggestion to go to GeorgeWBush.org to get more information.
Pretty funny ad placement.

Did kerry mention that we have spent 200,000,000,000 dollars in Iraq? I must have missed that part ;-)

You'd think that a major foreign policy speech would be well-written and practiced for delivery. It isn't a stump speech where he's talking to the ABB crowd. Is he listening to anyone?

I have to agree. The speech just wasn't impressive, had a lot of retreads on it.

I would like to have the transcript to verify, but he made those two statements a few sentences apart.
Not sure where to get a transcript of this one.....
