I turned it off when I heard his voice. That's why I need FR. We have some brave men and women who can actually watch him and give us the info.

I can read a transcript later.

It's just a chance to trot out Carville/Begala's new soundbites to see which ones goose the partisans.

Yep. Just a few new soundbites in there, all attacking Bush, none expressing Kerry's position.

Al Gore's debate partner will review the speech. Did I turn on Comedy Central by accident?

Amazing. Kerry gives a speech and his surrogate mouthpieces need to come on TV and explain what Kerry meant to say.

No kidding. There was absolutely nothing there.

I hope someone has the courage to call him on it to his face.

"Someone should ask Mad Matty why in the hell anyone should listen to her on anything regarding the Iraq War because under her tenure, Bill Clinton Bombed the hell out of Kosovo, killing hundreds of civilians, the Chinese Embassy, Water resources (All were against terms fo the Geneva Convention) a Passanger Train full of people, Hospitals and aid stations ALL was done without the APPROVAL OF THE UN. Period."

Damnitall, Area51, there you go again using rational thought to try and figger out the Left!! Haven't you figgered out that military force used by Slick Willie was always justified and Bush's use of force is always EVIL?! Nobody in the Vast, LeftWing Medyuh Whore'd questioned the Kosovo Massacre in the least, and these LeftyLoonie Peaceniks were nowhere to be found as we mercilessly bombed civilian targets in Der SchleekMeister's wag-the-dog war!!

Martha points out that there was lots of domestic policy stuff in this speech. Rat comment on "wrong" choices. Bobby Burchfield for the Republicans says tone is a bit more aggressive, harsh, and strident...but no specifics. Burchfield says speech is full of criticism, but no specific plan for changing the situation in Iraq.

Sounds like the only thing missing was the scream to make it a Dean speech.

That's what it looked like to me too. Bush is speaking to 15,000-20,000 and Kerry speaks to 500-1,000 and they think he is doing great. Kerry's crowds are getting smaller.

I'm going to be late to work - so be it.

Kerry has just pulled two great ones in about a three minute span:

He missed dating world war 2 by a decade (1954), and he, the Lt JG who sat down and made nice with our enemies, announced that as president he would 'open up new lines of communication".

And he DOES have a proven track record on that one.

Another PROMISE of hearing his foreign policy and yet, nothing. Does one assume there is NO foreign policy?

RNC has a 10 min documentary on Kerry's flip-flops on Irsq, most in his own words. I ordered it on dvd & rec'd last week. I don't know much about computers or if I could download it, but I'm sure its still on there website. It's already changed one persons mind who was tilting toward Kerry when he seen it. I was hoping they would have shown it at the convention, but they did not. It is compelling.
