I posted the thread here....with the promise of an update! Well here it is!
Guys I am so excited because last night we had over 300 people show up for our first college republicans meeting here at OSU. (Oklahoma State)
Dr. Tom Coburn..candidate for US Senate came and spoke. I will have more pictures to add to this thread soon..that I took. But for now..notice the Republican flag behind Dr. Coburn?
That came from my room! We used it to decorate! Dr. Coburn is quite blunt. He reminds me a lot of Zell Miller.
He answered every question asked. And informed us on things like crop insurance, term limits, the war on terror, health insurance, judges, immigration.
When asked about the judicial nominees crisis he responded. I'll make sure that NOTHING gets done until those nominees are either given an up or down vote. It will be locked up.
He also informed us of what Ted Kennedy, Ted Turner, and Scotty Pippen have in common? They all own bad crops. They buy crops they know won't grow, and then cash in on the insurance.
Over 300 People Attended Our First College Republicans Meeting!!!

COBURN FOR SENATE!!!!!!
Thats right!
We'd have similar names!
Ping!
To my fellow College Republicans!!!
What? I was confident that blacks were allowed to attend if they desired.
I asked the question I wanted to ask. If you want to ask another, knock yourself out. Just don't involve me.
I love that story!!!!!!!
Looks like a wonderful turn out. Congrats!! Keep up the good work CM55.
We have a Tammany Hall here in Delaware County. The roads are pock-marked with "Vote for X-Dem (State Senate, Congress, Chief, County Clerk, et al))"
Of course, we live on the Rez (the whole county is Cherokee res.) I was amazed at all the folks I talked to last vote (Coburn) who went Coburn even though they were registered dem.
When we drove through Missouri last month the Kerry stickers in Rolla and St. Louis were overwhelming. I don't know that MO has the mo for Dubya.
We don't have TV reception, so my husband and I will have to go out on election night to watch the results. I predict it will be worth the babysitting fees!
(Slumber party at your house, Tax-Relief? Would one of your Deductions like to do crowd control here? We'll provide the wine and deer steaks!)
WOW! You made my day!
Congratulations on your first meeting. Have you hooked up with the ProtestWarrior people? They have some great material for countering the idiots on the left.

Go OSU Republicans!
People in Missouri hate Kerry. LOL!
bump to that!!!!
Thats Wade, LOL!!
BTTT!!!!
Thank you!!!
Is that Al Franken in the second picture on the right?
who is Wade?
....and there's too many white people in one room. Watch your six for the ACLU.
Maybe they're just behind in Missouri :-). St. Louis is a Dem stronghold, whether the live people vote or not, and Rolla is a college town, so that's not really indicative of the whole state.
Politics are wild on the Cherokee reservation here, too. They don't really vote on current issues or candidates ... everything dates back to 200-year-old factions and grudges.
