We have a Tammany Hall here in Delaware County. The roads are pock-marked with "Vote for X-Dem (State Senate, Congress, Chief, County Clerk, et al))"
Of course, we live on the Rez (the whole county is Cherokee res.) I was amazed at all the folks I talked to last vote (Coburn) who went Coburn even though they were registered dem.
When we drove through Missouri last month the Kerry stickers in Rolla and St. Louis were overwhelming. I don't know that MO has the mo for Dubya.
People in Missouri hate Kerry. LOL!
Maybe they're just behind in Missouri :-). St. Louis is a Dem stronghold, whether the live people vote or not, and Rolla is a college town, so that's not really indicative of the whole state.
Politics are wild on the Cherokee reservation here, too. They don't really vote on current issues or candidates ... everything dates back to 200-year-old factions and grudges.
