. . . . .
(INDIANAPOLIS) -- This is an urgent call to action for all Midwest Area FReepers.
On Saturday, September 11th (from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM) we will be conducting a rally in support of our troops, their families, the war on terrorism (and specifically Operation Iraqi Freedom).
We vow to NEVER FORGET the terrorist attacks on the United States and we must not allow the "Blame America First" anti-military radicals to go unchallenged in their anti-Bush propaganda.
We have been notified by authorities that a massive ANTI-WAR contingent will be conducting a protest at the opposite end of our rally location. The two sides will be watched by the news media... and we cannot allow our brave troops serving in harms way to see us outnumbered.
WHEN: Saturday, September 11th - 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
WHERE: Indianapolis, Indiana - at Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis.
CONTACT: Jackie Loughman, Move America Forward Indiana Chairman - E-Mail Jackie@MoveAmericaForward.org or call (317) 899-1319
good idea, I'm going to call local state office numbers (GOP only of course)
I think Bham will be okay from Frances, Florida not so much...
Btw, funny that this big distator is named FRANCEs.
Not sure yet what folks will want to do when the rally wraps up. If you can stop by Monument Circle for a few minutes (we'll be on the South Steps -- Anti-war folks will be on the North Steps) during the day we should have a better idea. I'm assuming your work will bring you downtown? If so, you will have NO PROBLEM finding Monument Circle, it is smack dab in the middle of downtown. Where will you be staying when you are in town?
The show is at the Convention Center and RCA Dome, which I believe is downtown. Hope there's parking!
I'm staying at some Super 8 called Indianapolis Airport South Super 8 (just call me Diamond Jim!).
If Monument Circle is close by I might be able to sneak out for a bit. That'd be great!
There will be tons of parking, especially on a Saturday. Not that that will matter, the Convention Center is in walking distance to the Circle.
Excellent!
I'll hope to see you there!
Support Our Troops *PING*
I'll try to make it to the rally.
I think I can be there.
You know, for all the time I've been here I'm not sure how the bump thing works.
Thanks for the notice.
I really hope you can. I sure would like for us to have a giant show of support for those so deserving it.
We're working hard to get the word out over the course of the next week. I hope to see you there!! :)
Give a call to Greg Browning, the morining talk radio host on 1430 AM. (Can't remember the Station Call Letters) - he's a conservative who I'm sure would announce the rally during his drive time show, heck, just call in as a guest and he'll give you some time to talk on air.
Monument circle is just about 4 blocks from the Convention center, a five minute walk. Downtown Indy is very convenient to get to from the airport - about a 7 minute drive on I-70.
Unfortunately I will be out of town that day. I would have loved to come otherwise.
I'd suggest calling Greg Garrison's show.
Thanks for that!
I'll definitely try to sneak out and join you.
Canadians for Bush! (well, one anyway!)
Cheers
Jim
Thanks, I'll do that.
I sent an email and put in a call to the producer late Friday. I'll try again first thing tomorrow morning. Thanks.
Hoosier here! I'm really going to try to make it and also make sure my family knows about it.
Good luck with your event in Indy. I'm hosting an NMAT in Lynwood, Washington and hope for a good turnout.
BTW - I used to live in Peru, Indiana while stationed at Grissiom AFB in the mid-80's. Like many, we used to listen to music by local pop star John Cougar Melloncamp. However, I no longer respect "old Mellonhead" now that I know about his ignorant anti-war stance regarding Iraq.
That's great news! And definitely bring as many people as you can -- we can't let those anti-war kooks outnumber us....Pro-America Hoosiers Unite!
Thanks. Best of luck to you too.
