Excerpts from Kerry's speech (This is Unbelievable!)
Associated Press and Reuters ^ | Sept. 4, 2004 | Associated Press and Reuters

Posted on 09/03/2004 7:28:20 PM PDT by The Bandit

The Massachusetts senator said he would not allow anyone to question his fitness for the White House. "Not gonna do it, not gonna happen," Kerry said. "I will not have my commitment to defending this country questioned by those who refused to serve when they had a chance, and I will not have it questioned by those who misled this nation into war in Iraq."

Kerry said Republicans had distorted his 20-year record in the U.S. Senate, including his vote authorizing the use of force against Saddam Hussein and his subsequent vote against $87 billion to fund operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. "All this negative advertising, blah blah blah," Kerry said. "It turns people off."

He ridiculed the administration's August job numbers that showed the unemployment rate dropped from 5.5 percent to 5.4 percent with the addition of 144,000 new jobs. "At the rate that this administration is creating jobs, you're not going to have a net plus-one job in the state of Ohio until the year 2011," he said.

Like Rush said - after this RAT campaign is over, even Effin' Kerry won't be able to make chicken salad out of it...

Kerry is only a great closer in the state of MA and in a Rat primary consisting of weak opponents. He has never had to close the deal with a diverse representation of voters. Even the Libs are hard pressed to feel any real enthusiasm for him. Without his Viet Nam record he would not even have been a factor. Thanks to the SBV for Truth this has been neutralized. Anyone except the most rabid partisans that would not vote for Bush anyway at least realize that at best he has greatly exaggerated his "heroic" war record. His best asset is no longer effective.

As for money, his campaign is not in control of it. The 527's have it and IMHO their efforts have so far been a joke. I have not seen one line of attack of theirs that I fear.

On the other hand, the SBV's ads, especially the 2nd one with the POWs is devastating. I have even seen it run here in solidly Republican SC. They have reached the 3 million $ mark in donations and will continue to slice and dice Kerry with their great ads. They have one of the best ad houses I have ever seen.

The Club for Growth has also run some terrific commercials. As have other 527 groups If we keep supporting their efforts we can completely overshadow Move On. org and those other piss ants. We have truth on our side.

Dubya and the Republicans will not only stick to the current subject to the end. We should and will make him talk about his Senate record. He is a nothing and will be defeated. Not only that but I think that the Rats have managed to nominate the one guy that's even less likable on a personal level then Gore.

The only thing I fear is a last minute revelation like the 2000 DUI. I can only hope that Karl Rove and Co. have learned their lesson and are holding on to a Kerry bombshell they can release last minute to diffuse whatever the Rats and the NSM have up their sleeves. Last minute dirt on W is the only thing I worry about. They are desperate but I can only trust that this time we are prepared.

I totally understand. This is now the third Senate campaign I've volunteered in to rid us of the sleaziest self-serving politician we have ever had.

Actually, with the indep. thing I wouldn't go as far as you do regarding the best interest of SD. I told campaign staff that we all need to be reminded that this is not a SD State Senate position being sought. It is the United States of America Senate position. We need some real leadership for our Country, not just our State. What is best for our country on gay marriage, on conservative judges, on ethanol, on continued propping up of certain industries and not others. We've got to be willing to carry our load and sacrifice for our country. My God we are in serious times. Look what our forefathers have done for the good old US of A when they needed to. Gosh, we're just poor stepchildren of those great men and women.

That's all.

Incredible. Makes one wonder what more Kerry has to hide.

Throw this in a Google search and see what you get:

John Kerry, Nicaragua

Or maybe you've heard it already.

Updated remarks from all FR Post. Thank you Musicman!

Updated due to URLs disappearing:

In October 1990 John McCain said on the floor of the Senate: "Mr. President, I am anxious to construct a new relationship with our old adversary (Vietnam)". He, who was in a Vietnamese prison camps for five and a half years, was pushing hard for normalized relations with Hanoi long before anyone else was.

Between when Clinton said that he would not normalize relations with Vietnam until there was a full accounting and the time he lifted the Trade Embargo only two Americans had been accounted for in Vietnam.

Lifting the embargo opened the door for the multi-billion dollar corporation, Lippo Group with American business partners, such as Stephens Investment of Little Rock, AR to conduct business in Vietnam. Mr A. Vernon Weaver, at that time the Vice-President for Operations in the Pacific Rim of Stephens Investment and a member of the Board of Visitors at the U.S. Naval Academy was instrumental in arranging an upgrade of the position of Commandant of the U.S. Naval Academy from two stars to four stars.

Former U.S. Navy officers, Senators John Kerry and John McCain supported this reorganization.

An indication of just how deep and subtle Red Chinese roots run in U.S. business and government affairs deals with McCain and Kerry. Both McCain and Kerry fought long and hard to provide the political cover Clinton needed when he made the controversial decision to normalize relations with Vietnam. McCain's wife, Cindy, is the daughter of James Hensley, who is the second largest Anheuser-Busch distributor in the United States. McCain is an officer in Hensley & Co. and Cindy is a vice president. The McCain family owns several million dollars in Anheuser-Busch stock. As a part of an aggressive campaign to enhance its international standing in the beer market, Anheuser-Busch has had signned contracts and invested hundreds of millions building brewery operations in China and Vietnam. I can’t link any of those contracts involve Lippo. Some docs retrieved from the net revealed that Riady's Lippo is the holder of a license for Sea World in Indonesia and that Anheuser-Busch owns all the Sea World themeparks in the United States as well as some overseas. Is there a connection between Anheuser-Busch and Lippo?

http://www.usvetdsp.com/billbell.htm

SeaWorld/Lippo Connection:

Old URL: http://www.lippo.co.id/Main.htm Internet Cache: http://web.archive.org/web/19980530014836/http://www.lippo.co.id/Main.htm

Net cache shows Lippo holds/held the license on Sea World in Indonesia.

"Today I am lifting the trade embargo against Vietnam because I am absolutely convinced it offers us the best way to resolve the fate of those who remain missing and about whom we are not sure." Two things happened between November 1992 and February 1994 which bear on this issue. One was that Senators John Kerry and John McCain lobbied the president to drop the embargo. The second thing was that in September 1993 the head of the Lippo Group, Mochtar Riady, led a trade mission of Asian bankers on a trip to Vietnam to (in his words) "size up business opportunities there." Lippo helps, among other things, to finance trade deals. It therefore stood to benefit enormously from expanded trade between Vietnam and the United States;

Every time I’ve seen McCain's name in reference to legislation, Kerry's name pops up as well. It is like they are two peas in a pod. So I checked out Kerry to see what his connections were:

KGB-ASSOCIATED SPY PAID DEMOCRATIC PARTY

Military secrets on infrared detectors, drawings of rotors for Sikorsky attack helicopters and documents on stealth technology. Subrahmanyam M. Kota was a spy that delivered to the KGB. He sold U.S. military secrets to the former Soviet Union. Yet he paid some of the proceeds, $5250, to the Democratic Party and to Democratic Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts. When he was finally brought to justice in Massachusetts, he was allowed to plea bargain his charges down to mere tax evasion on his espionage windfall.

Frances Zwenig, John Kerry's (D-MA) chief of Staff for the now defunct Senate Select Committee on POW/MIAs, was given a position at Commerce in the Vietnam Interests Section until some genius decided it may be a conflict of interest. Ms. Zwenig coached the Vietnamese on how to testify before the SSC in order to show that Hanoi was cooperating; an obstacle in the way of lifting the embargo or normalizing. . . Zwenig had headed a US based organization that lobbied American business to invest on Vietnam.

In order to follow the money trail, involves the various business and 527s of Senators:

John Forbes Kerry (D-MA)
John Sydney McCain III (R-AZ)
Jesse Helms (R-NC)
Frank Murkowski (R-AK)

This involves the political contributions and the relationships connected to the companies that made the contributions. This involves searching the 527s relationships that these guys are into. Then the links to Riady/Lippo. It gets messy on a home computer. But the involvements show in Google searches.

http://www.ojc.org/powforum/editor/lippo.htm

Kerry's cousin, C. Stewart Forbes, is CEO of Colliers International, real estate.

In Dec. 1992, Vietnam granted Colliers a contract designating Colliers the "exclusive real estate agent representing Vietnam." Colliers has since written contracts in Vietnam worth billions, upgrading Vietnam's ports, railroads, highways and government buildings.

Colliers is involved with Lippo in multimillion contracts in Indonesia. Kerry, who has a blind trust run by members of his family, claims he knows nothing about his cousin's business deals or affiliations.

Coincidence?

Personally I agree with all you have said above and would prefer that was our winning message. However, after closely following the SD 2002 Senate race and reading numerous articles quoting "Republicans" in your state, I am not so sure. They seem to be so concerned about the "clout" of their little state and the personal enrichment that a powerful Senator brings them, regardless of the harm he does to the rest of us. There is a selfish streak there that makes Daschole hard to defeat and your honest approach very risky.

JMHO from very far away.

Sounds like Kerry has a little PCTSD (that's right - Post Convention Traumatic Stress Disorder). Slurred speech, inappropriate outbursts, disjointed remarks, paranoia - these are all the classic symptoms. He should just put some ice on it.

"This is like watching a train wreck, you just can't divert your eyes. What is Kerry's message?"

Answer: Mr. Kerry doesn't have a message. He's too busy looking in the mirror at himself and he is enamoured with his own image. He's trapped in a body with no message in mind.

Was Sen. Kerry misled into voting for war?

Well, yes. Kerry said somewhere that he voted for the war because naturally he didn't think Bush would actually go to war. In effect, Bush "misled" him by saying what he meant and acting on it.

F'en seems to have a king complex. Claiming the power to stop citizens of The United States of America from exercising their God given right of free speech. The people have to right to question anything that they want to in this land of the free. But his banning the book the he so proudly wrote back in the 70s, attempting to ban a current book, also attempting to censor free speech on the public airwaves. Brings up the question of just how would he rule if he was elected?

The beauty thing about Kerry's collapse is that the buzz is he and he alone runs his campaign....despite the high priced consultants on board

Now the spin is that Kerry wanted to go after the SBV whose ads damaged his campaign but his "advisors" stopped him.

What I'd like to see are video clips of GWB's reaction when informed of Clinton's condidtion and Kerry's, side-by-side. I saw Kerry's. It seemed kinda, "Ya, so?" to me.

I'd like to make a prediction, that not only will he lose this race for President, he will lose his seat in the senate. His entire life has been based on 4 months of questionable service in the Navy. He got his senate seat based on lies.

I see him, living the rest of his as another "Klaus VanBulow", attending to the needs of his benefactor, but only as long as she will have him.

By now, her allusions of him have been destroyed and she has to reconsider his worthiness as a "trophy husband" and this is going to damage her image, in her circles, something that is very important to a vacuous woman.

Payback is hell.

"I will not have my commitment to defending this country questioned by those who refused to serve when they had a chance

Ok, but how about those of us who had the chance and didn't refuse to serve. That's a huge number, and I don't "question" your committment to defending this country. I don't need to ask questions about something I know categorically to be true, that you have a committment to yourself and nothing else. This country doesn't mean squat to you and you have proven that over and over. Veterans fighting and dying don't mean anything to you beyond how you can use them for your own personal gain. You have no sense of honor, ethics, or integrity. You never met a principle you wouldn't compromise for personal gain. You are a chump, and I hope when this election is over you crawl back under the rock. How dare you tell us what you will or won't have when it comes to our views on you?
