Hannity hostility towards Limbaugh?
09/03/04 | Josh in PA

Does Hannity have something against Limbaugh?

He just said, "We show up on Fridays"

It was a week or two ago he said, "We're not taking vacations here, it's too important, we'll be here to election day." or something like that, jabbing at Rush for going to Scotland??

Anyone got anything on this?

"This is one of the problems with many conservative talk-show hosts: Too much of the program is about the program, "

Yep, which is why I now listen to Tony Snow.

Please. Hannity would go down on his knees for Limbaugh. He is always kissing up to him. Hannity is alright. He basicaly repeats what Limbaugh says and then says "I am the only one in the media saying this" Savage is the same way. He thinks he is the only conservative that matters. Meanwhile both of them praise El Rushbo in their books

No hostility between Sean and Rush.

A direct dig at least to O'Reilly who takes Fridays off.. AT least he does during the summer..I don't listen to him but I can bet John Gibson or the judge was his sub today..

Hence the hazy, hot, Hannity months of summer- He gets to advertise he's even there on Fridays!

If Boortz is on vacation and doesn't publish Neil's Nuze daily, Hannity loses all his show prep. He probably just concerned.

Sean could use the half-a-brain that Rush keeps tied behind his back.

Sean has excellent guests. When he doesn't talk over them, I always hear great stuff. And his heart is in the right place.

I don't think so. Hannity says this every summer, to try to keep people listening while they're on vacation. He likes to call it the "Hot, Hazy, Hannity days of summer."

You are wrong about hostility from Hannity to Rush...they are good friends and Sean always says if it hadn't been for Rush, he (Sean) would be where he is today. Rush is in Florida where he lives and is sitting out the storm. Rush talked by phone to Roger Hidgecock, of San Diego, who did his show this morning. Hannity has said for years he is always there on Friday, when many of his Fox buddies with shows, like O'Reilly take the Friday off. Good for Sean!!

I would disagree that Savage is another conservative clone. He is about the only one that really does his own thing, backed up with loads of great common sense, intellect and a vast knowledge and then blows it all with a less than adequate knowledge of talk radio at his level. If he had Limbaugh's techniques and savvy about the art of talk itself and his knowledge of politics Savage would be # 1 everywhere cause he truly is brilliant spirited in with moments of madness.

I listen to them all--Tony Snow, Rush and Sean--but I have to say, Tony Snow is really shining lately. Rush is still No. 1, IMHO, but Tony Snow has a great show and I thoroughly enjoy listening to him. Whenever I see him on FNC, he's very staid and serious, but on his show, you really get a sense of his personality.
