BESLAN, Russia - A group of about 30 women and children broke out of a school in southern Russia where militants were holding hundreds of people captive Friday, a news agency reported, after two loud explosions were heard and Russian commandos opened fire near the building. The Interfax news agency said that the school's roof had collapsed and militants were shelling and firing from the building. Interfax said the hostages who broke out of the school included women and children. It was impossible to immediately verify the reports.
Two helicopters hovered overhead. An ambulance rushed from the scene and CNN reported that at least two people were wounded. On Thursday, the militants inside the school had released some 26 of the hundreds of hostages held inside the building since Wednesday.
So basically your comments suggest that maybe a few more than two might work... Interesting hypothesis. We could test this theory and see what would happen.
Many of the Chechnyan and Dagestan leaders (who *support* Russia) and who have been assassinated by wahhabi terrorists are "liberal" Muslims, many of them in the Sufi sect. (The same sect of Muslims that our Special Forces fought alongside in Afghanistan, in the Northern Alliance.)
Similarly, the Muslims in Uzbekistan who are fighting wahhabism there (slopped over from Afghanistan) are often Sufi as well. They're not just talking the talk, they're walking the walk - and they're getting killed for it, because Saudi-financed wahhabism has a *lot* of money and influence behind it - as well as the "hands-off" from the US State Department.
What an awful situation for Putin/locals to be in. The helplessness at the hands of thugs.
They NOW understand a bit more our feeling over 911
Hard to not be a monday AM quarterback on methodology. Glad they confronted the terrorsists rather than submit
Mega prayers for all involved..
The problem is that Turkey has discontinued its support of sufism with Ata Turk...
And today the money comes from Saudi Arabia...
It's not called Foggy Bottom without good cause.
Sorry, war is hell...innocents are killed in war. it's us or them...I choose us.
How would you define the Shia in Iran?...they are not wahhabist, but they are terrorists.
As a grand parent of a 3 year old and a 5 year old, my heart goes out for the children, their parents, siblings, grand parents and other relatives.
Shortly after 9/11, GW made a clear statement: "You are either with us or against us!"
Putin was too friendly with the $oddomites and still with the Mass Murdering Mullahs of Iran and the thugs in Syria.
After he eliminates his local problems, he and GW can change regimes in Syria and Iran in less than a week.
I agree. Heck, it could be done in parallel. The tidying up will take years, but the alternative is incinerated American, Russian, Israeli, Japanese, Italian and not least of all: Polish cities.
The next day after GW is elected, Putin could have his ambassadors to Iran and Syria tell their despots they have 24= 48 hours to get out of Dodge City.
Then have Air France planes on the tarmacs of their airports to take these Islamonazi thugs to France.
We're all Israelis now.
A few days ago here in Atlanta, I saw a black girl walk out of a Borders Books wearing the Muslim headscarf and a shirt with, written on the back in big, bold, red letters "UNITY IN ISLAM".
I thought about those words, "UNITY IN ISLAM". I realized that Islam is united. Everywhere in the world, from Russia, to the US, to Africa, to the South Seas ... there is a common thread to all of it -- parents greiving over dead children, people greiving over lost loved ones, all victims of the "Religion of Peace". Islam is united in their complete disregard for the lives of anyone not indoctrinated into their death-cult.
Obviously, this particular person wearing that shirt was a recent convert, one of many in the "fastest growing 'religion' in the US." I question the sanity of anyone 'converting' to Islam, especially after 9/11.
This Trojan Horse is in the city walls. We will see this happen here ... again.
Actually, a reminder that kerry is fighting against some new tactical nukes we have in the works.
I remember Putin's lame response to the Kursk accident and wonder at the mindset of their leadership.
I just heard that terrorists are still in the building and still have children in their as hostages-savages,murderers and scum of the earth.
I was speaking specifically or the Iranian...what would you call Sadr? He is not a Wahhabist-deal with the specifics.
This is an atrocity...if they missed.
Freepers, please pray very hard for children still being held hostage..
