I agree. Sufi Islam got swept out the door with every other public Islamic expression. But in the Ickystans, in Afghanistan, in Dagestan and Chechnya, it's still a factor, and the war between wahhabi and Sufi Muslims has been going on for a good 300 years.
You are right, in that the Saudis now have the oil, and that oil money has been funding all these "foreign advisers" spreading chaos in the Balkans and SW Russia.
