When GWB had tears in his eyes - you'd have to be blind to not see into the soul of a good man.
that's it... the Kerry campaign has jumped the shark tonight...
I give the speech an A-. The first part dragged and it was too long. ...
I heard that! WOW He is strong!
I think it put Greta off a bit!
BTW, remind me which network has had the highest viewership this week?
After what we saw in New York tonight, Kerry looks like an amateur.
Yep, I agree with that entirely. But in the meantime, watching this garbage from Lurch, I think I'm going to...*BARF*....
Your gorge may have risen, but both your ears are tin, dear. You just think that you understand politics;you don't.This was THE best political convention I have EVER seen, from either party and it has NOTHING to do with prejudice either.I am VERY good at slamming people I like, when need be and praising those I hate ,when they deserve it.
I've been a political junkie since I was tiny child. This GOP Convention and the president's acceptance speech has been THE best I've seen/heard since 1952!
You are allowed to say what you think;however,to do so on a live thread, where 99% are whopping it up and having a GREAT time,is NOT the place to begin your banal caviling!
It will be good to get her back home again, won't it? This was a sensational convention, all the way around. I'm glad she had the experience.
Kerry is a pathetic amateur.
He used the G word! "God only gave us 3% of the oil in the world."
Seriously! Have you ever seen a stump speech like this?!
HOLY CRAP!! NOW THE IRAQ WAR WAS ABOUT OIL?!?! MORE, JOHN, MORE~!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
Going to see if C-span is replaying it as foxnews is showing protesters and a whiner complain that our President is putting us at risk. Oops foxnews now covering Kerry as well.
I just turned Kerry off! I think most Americans will see the difference....I agree, he's toast.
MSNBC just broke away... I guess they thought he was pathetic, and were feeling sorry for them, saving them.
I always found it of interest that the Bush's married humble ladies. Jeb, a Mexican gal, George, a West Texas Democrat. Now look at Karina Gore's husband, son of a wealthy, powerful banking family of New York. Same with Kerry's connections. It seems to me that Liberals marry for power, or money more than Conservatives. Flame me if I'm wrong.
I only had a glimpse...I am low on Pepcid and don't want to take a chance of making myself sick by watching Kerry!
"to hear more about the new domestic programs the President proposed tonight"
i guess i am the only one...but this doesn't excite me at all...in fact, it really ticks me off. i spend way too much locally on community colleges...why the hell would i want some of my fed tax dollars to go there also???
this president is a good man, a great man indeed...a caring and sincere man. so were truman and ike. but none of them are conservatives. goldwater, apparently, was a bit of a jerk. but he was a conservative.
more money for community colleges??? have we lost our mind? i hope he proposed something better after that because i turned off the television at that moment in disgust.
The most noteworthy thing about the speech, and about this President, in my opinion, is the visible change that comes over him when he talks about the men and women who are serving our country, and their families.
He looks ten years older when he talks about them. It's uncanny.
He takes his responsibilities very seriously.
This is one of the primary reasons that I'm proud to support this good man and his reelection.
