(I've got shivers of anticipation...)

Me too. The pubbies and GWB in particular are on such a roll right now and have a lot of confidence.

CNN led off their 5:00 news hour with warnings that other news stories might be competing with W's speech tonight....Hmmmm, 'spose they meant the hurricane, although that's still a ways off the mainland. Wondered what else thay might be referring to......

Just for openers, Howard Fineman will agree with anything Chris Matthews says tonight so he won't get bounced from his roost on HARDBALL ever ever again. And just between you and me, I think Ron Reagan has the hots for Chris Matthews!

Dick Cheney made some campaign appearances while the demcon was going on.

Fox just showed John Edwards at a rally today. It was very lame. He asked what kind of president they want....one who talks about another politician or one worried about them? John Kerry will care about them! Apathetic applause from a quiet crowd followed.

So.....President Bush is supposed to ignore Kerry?! LOL

LAME

Carl then said that the reason Kerry scheduled a rally right after the president's speech is to show his supporters he's not just laying around.

Oh, Fox playing the Bush 41 remarks. Next post I'll make notes.

Is the posted schedule incomplete? Seems there's a bit of dead air time. What time is Tommy Franks to speak? Any other changes or will there be a surprise? Thanks.

Develop intestinal flu. Excuse yourself quickly, go to the restroom and get in a stall and make gagging sounds. If you have a cup of water to dump in the latrine, it lends authenticity.

Then, if you are a female, remove all lipstick and foundation makeup around your mouth. Then rub your fingers in the linings of your eyes, making them look watery and bloodshot.

Then go to your prof and say you need to leave because you are ill.

Worked all the time for me when I was in high school (Class of 66).

LOL!

Major Garrett just showed part of President Bush 41's remarks and after the break Brit will play more.

President 41 said the images of John Kerry as a young veteran testifying and what he said is "devastating".

Major's coverage was like reporting on the interview we'll about to see so he characterized the other comments, but I believe I understood him to say that 41 felt the questions and discrepancies raised about the medals and Cambodian tale and such are troubling.

More coming up. (You know dem heads are exploding all over the place)

The Ben Barnes story. CNN hasn't yet figured out that there's no there there.

On the bright side, I got to see Wolf getting testy with Wesley Clark!

Major Garrett just kicked the Kerry Campaign in the ass again, with a three minute package on the Navy inquiry sought by Judicial Watch, the Kerry comments on the Boorda medal fiasco and ending with George HW saying the Swifties' ads were appropriate.

It was delicious.

Ohhhhh let's don't go negative. That's what the enemy of freedom wants.
Bush is a blessed man of God!

Just because the media is obsessed, doesn't mean the greatest convention of all our lifetimes, has been erased in the minds of the voters.

Bush will have a wonderful speech tonight.
Makes no difference about the hurricane blowing in the ocean.

And if something happened and he didn't get to speak at all, the convention itself has blown the dems away already!

Frances is still offshore, let's just keep praying.

I missed last evening - heard bytes all day. Now streaming Zell.

Reminds me of an ol' fashioned fire and brinstone Baptist preacher.

Surely, a lot of this will show up in RNC commercials.

I heard someone equate this to Bryan's "Cross of Gold" speech. Time will tell.

I scared my dogs and had to put them in bed, every night since Monday.

I wonder what we'd all sound like if we were yelling together?

Bush 41 on Zell's speech: A 10. Outstanding speech.

He's heard the criticism and doesn't buy it. Brit mentions the comparison to Buchanan, 41 doesn't see the parallel (and explains why not).

On the race: GWB will be re-elected substantially.
Brit: Really?! Polls
41: If I were a viewer of yours I might listen, but my gut tells me they want strong leadership.

Swift Boat Vets: Brit says Kerry Kamp says their working with bush and Brit says "all sides" say they should go away.

41: Kerry as a young vet and testifying against fellow vets is devastating. Sen. Kerry should apologize.

41: These are not wackos. Did John Kerry serve with honor? I'm sure he did. These are not two contradictory issues here.

If you make your service the hallmark, you expect criticism. Brit mentions 41 was a vet, 41 says he remembers if he ever referenced his own service he was accused of attacking Clinton because Clinton hadn't served.

41: Things change. Some of those defending Kerry were defending Clinton.

x41 keeps saying, "Senator Curry, uh, I mean Senator Kerry." Probably just a gaffe, but he's done it several times, and I recall how he kept mispronouncing Saddam Hussein's name, and we later found out it was purposeful in order to goad Saddam(the different pronounciation had a different meaning in the original language). Just a thought.

President Bush should name Zell Miller as honorary "Grandfather of the United States" tonight.

Zell has put our War on Terror in stark perspective-- it's about making our kids and grandkids world safer.

Can anybody tell me why on the Roll Call some states "passed"
and then later gave all of there votes to President Bush? Is there a reason for this tactic?...or not?
Thanks folks for your help..party on!
