I didn't think they were that good. But they are young kids. And I thought it funny that the hamster didn't make it.

When Kerry's daughter told the hamster story, I thought it was the dumbest thing I ever heard. And I said if W's daughters tell a story about him giving CPR to a hamster, I won't vote.

Arnold brought the enthusiasm to a very high peak. The Bush daughters caused the enthusiasm to fall way down. It took Laura quite a while to bring it back up. A mistake to let the girls speak.

I thought the Bush daughters did very well. And they are very attractive.

Fair game.

I found my self being embarrassed for them. I found myself switching channels, subconsciously, then realizing, "wait a minute, I want to watch the convention". And having to switch back and endure more.

If your going to put someone on that stage, and use up VERY valuable time, you better make it count.

I think the time could have used more wisely.

I like W's family for the same reason I like the president: they all come across as real human beings. Oddly enough, that wasn't true of Bush 41, who came across as an aristocrat.

Laura Bush isn't Hillary or Jackie O. But her sincerity and kindness makes her popular in her own right.

The twins aren't Chelsea Clinton. They come across as awkward teenagers - I'll bet more teens can relate them.
I could be wrong though. It's been twenty years since I was their age. I'm old enough to be their fa...older brother.

Hell lets think back to when we were all just out of college. The fun of it was they got catty with the Kerry girls.

MSNBC of all channels hit it right. Laura Bush was the "kitchen table" speaker. She is conveying what she knows about W. Sorry to sound like a male pig, but an undecided woman would see that speech and if nothing else understand where W is coming from.

Yes, Arnold should have been the last speaker, but how many people on the East Coast would stay up to see Laura Bush speak????

Any time I see older people bitching about the way younger kids act I always think back to the "when I was your age I walked barefoot in the snow to school every day..."

;)

The girls were fine.

Liberals have to find something to complain about. Since everything about the first two nights of the Convention has gone without a hitch, the Bush daughters are all they can criticize.

Petty whiners.

Fox News was not exactly complementary to the Bush twins either. In fact, they were not even complimentary about Laura.

But the Fox group didn't seem too impressed with Laura's speech either. I thought she was great. But surprisingly, the MSNBC group (Martthews, Andrea Mitchell, Meacham from Newsweek, J.C. Watts and Scarborough) seemed to have glowing reviews about Mrs. Bush's speech. Well praise God for that!!!

That is what I seen also. I was amazed to hear her good reviews on CNN. It was as though Fox and CNN had changed places.

Dude. The twins did far better than Bill Frist! Did you watch him? Man what a disaster!

Besides, this speech was vetted by everyone, including their parents. As far as I'm concerned they reflect the kids of today. The only mature 21 year olds this country puts out for the most part anymore are those serving in our Armed Forces.

I wonder who wrote the twins' remarks. It's a shame they reinforced their frivolous reputation. I'm sure they don't want to be thought of as airheads.
