My Daughter is suffering from a long term illness, mental. They have reached the limit that they can do with drugs, at this point.
They are proposing that she be institutionalized, long term care. She is a vibrant young lady, whom I love as life itself. I do not wish to see her as another drugged up drone in an institution.
Prayers for you, your daughter and your family.
Prayers offered for you and your daughter.
Jim
PLEASE FREEPMAIL ME with more details, diagnosis, age; things tried so far etc.
Also, have you contacted FOCUS ON THE FAMILY?
You, your daughter and your family have my prayers.
I will be praying. Our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think . . .
Thanks, Bill
I pray for the best for you, your daughter, and your family.
I just came back from the Throne of Grace. I prayed that God will be glorified and you strengthened by His intervention on your daughter's behalf.
Contact the National Institute of Mental Health. They might be able to put you in touch with a clinical researcher working with your daughter's condition. Don't give up even if your local docs are out of ideas.
Asking for help is no sin of pride. Quite the opposite.
May God's will be done.
So sorry that you have reached this point in both your lives. It is doubly tragic that modern medicine really has so little to offer.
The only thing I can suggest that would make your life easier is to think of this illness as something that you cannot control, no matter how much you want to, no matter how hard you try.
I, like many people, have a medical condition that cannot be controlled through positive thinking, being strong, looking on the bright side, and any other way that we are taught to cope with disease.
I can deal with my diseases easier by eating right and getting more exercise, but that won't make them go away. The worst is rheumatoid arthritis, which may eventually put me in a wheel chair, and at present is just making it hard to walk.
It's not imaginary. It's not due to negative thinking. It is what it is, and there's not a whole lot I can do about it, except take a lot of pills.
God gives me strength. God answers prayers.
God goes what God does, and I don't know why. So I have surrendered to God, a higher power, and say "Thy will be done. Not my will, but Thy will. Amen."
I second the suggestion about contacting FOCUS ON THE FAMILY. Great bunch of people who have seen every type of family problem.
Our prayers go out to you.
THX.
I agree.
Prayers, too.
Prayers for you, Bill, and for your daughter in her suffering. Truly, the Lord can make a difference, as I am sure you know.
Prayers on the way.
My prayers are with you and yours.
Much love and prayers for you all.!
