The problem that she faces is that she is a charity patient, she was seperated from her husband who defaulted on her insurance payments. I have been purchasing her drugs, but the stuff they are recommending is out of my league.

Sounds like legal help is needed here.

If you have no insurance, this is why you need to get in touch with a research program. They are often looking for cases to include in a study and the treatment is typically free. The problem though would be to find such a study close to where you live. Here is the link to show you the ongoing clinical trials, but contact them anyway to see if they can give you any other leads.

I hold an NIH grant in another area of medicine, and believe me that there are many people out there who want to help your daughter, but they just don't know yet that you need them. The more professional people who know of your search, the more likely you will find help.

God bless your family!

Some pharmaceutical companies have special programs for people who desperately need their medication(s) but have zero income. Contact your daughter's doctors, especially psychiatrist. If they are not aware of the program, freepmail me the name of the medication(s) and I'll do some research. I know of a couple of other programs but they don't come readily to mind. In the meantime, prayers for your daughter and your family and it is no Sin of Pride to ask a brother or sister for help. <><

Talk to you local pharmacist about contacting the drug companies that supply the needed medications which she can't afford. Most drug companies will supply them for little or no charge if you can supply the information that she can't afford them. I, too, am praying...

I'm not in MA, but in TX. When I worked in Community Mental Health with patients who were not able to pay for meds, the pharmaceutical companies usually had programs to make them available gratis to those patients.

The drugs for Schizophrenics were the most costly, and these programs were really beneficial for patients who had no resources.
