So, who is right when the eyewitnesses say:

- The left engine was on fire

- The right engine was on fire
- Both engines were on fire
- Neither engine was on fire
- Both engines were on fire
- The left engine fell off
- The right engine fell off
- Both engines fell off
- Neither engine fell off
- The tail was on fire
- The tail was not on fire
- The engines stopped
- The engines were running
- The aircraft broke up in flight
- The aircraft crashed intact
- There was an explosion
- There was not an explosion

Which crash did eyewitnesses say all of these things happened? American Airlines Flight 587.

Hell, I was the first to say on Airliners.net that a second plane had hit the second tower and that it had to be a terrorist attack.

Without all the facts!!!!!!!! My, my, my. It appears you are being just a bit hypocritical then, in the way you are treating others who have reached that conclusion of this event.

Shep Smith on FOX talking to reporter in Moscow:
Moscow officials are saying it is Chechen terrorists

Moscow officials are likely to say it is Chechen terrorists if it determined to be terrorists.

Yes. The radar and IFF could be disabled.

I can see the liberals blaming Bush for this one.

Bush had nothing to do with it. This obviously was a Haliburton operation masterminded by Dick Cheney.

more from AP:

The U.S. Homeland Security Department was monitoring the situation but was not implementing any additional security measures in the United States, spokesman Brian Roehrkasse said.

The crash comes only days before Sunday’s presidential election in the breakaway republic of Chechnya. Pro-Russian President Akhmad Kadyrov was killed by a bombing in May.

A series of deadly explosions in recent years has claimed hundreds of lives in blasts that have been blamed mostly on Chechen separatist rebels.

I thank you for the fact that you're open-minded to other possibilities, but pretty soon you're still going to be arguing your point after it's perfectly clear that it's terrorism that's to blame.

the problem is - the russians will not likely be able to find the method of attack - I fear whatever they used over there, they can use the same technology over here against our planes.

Rostov (URRR) to Athens (ATH) is 1031 statute miles (great circle route) Click here for the map.

THx, don't know the range of a TU-154 but I guess it could be possible. Still, even if that were the plan, I don;t see them making it before they would be shot down.

If it is terrorists, then i would be inclined to say Chechens.

MOSCOW, Aug. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Another Russian passenger plane with 44 people on board crashed in southern Rostov region on Tuesday, Russian news agencies reported.

Itar-Tass quoted a Russia's aviation committee official as saying that the Tu-154 airliner crashed near the city of Rostov-on-Don, some 970 kilometers south of Moscow.

Interfax quoted the Emergencies Ministry as saying contacts with the Tu-154 flying from Moscow to the Black Sea resort of Sochi were lost at 22:59 Moscow time (1859 GMT) when it was expected to be 140 kilometers from the city.

Earlier the news agencies said that around the same time one more Russian passenger plane with more than 40 people on board crashed in the Tula region south of Moscow. Enditem

No, it wasn't a mid-air collision. The crashes were miles apart.

First plane has been found in Tula which is 120 miles S of Moscow. They haven't located the second plane yet.

Time to call NORAD? I bet they can pinpoint where that second airliner went down.

Thanks. The two or three people on here who are trying to tell the rest of us not to jump to conclusions about terrorism are simply not using common sense. Of course we all know that details are sketchy and that the story could change as more is learned. But it certainly isn't unreasonable to suspect terrorism and to speculate as to methods use.
