Swifty October Surprise For Kerry
To The Point ^ | August 2004 | Dr. Jack Wheeler

Posted on 08/22/2004 3:06:46 PM PDT by Presto

Main excerpt: " However… in the famous words of Al Jolson: “You ain’t heard nothin’ yet.” The Swiftees have prepared an October Surprise for Hanoi John that is going to blow his candidacy out of the water. I can’t tell you what it is, but I can tell you the television and radio ads have already been taped, and they are going to have an impact like an elephant sitting on a donkey.

The Swiftees have three things in abundance: money, brains, and balls. They know exactly how to go for the jugular, they have the dough to do it, and they are saving their best shot for last. The Democrats will not know what hit them and will not know how to retaliate. Get set folks. The Kerry Train Wreck is not going to be a pretty sight. "

I've seen an elephant stomp a goat. Not a pretty sight.

Years ago, there was a long-running TV ad (I forget which product) that showed a guy grilling in his picket-fenced suburban backyard, while a bunch of barnyard animals wandered around him.

If you looked behind him to the right, you could clearly see an overlooked "blooper". As a chicken flapped across the ground, it managed to end up square under the front hoof of a cow as it was walking forward, instantly crushing the chicken and leaving behind a motionless crumpled mass of feathers.

The Boston Globe reports that Bush Pioneer Christopher F. Egan will unveil a 28-minute documentary about Kerry's first congressional campaign. "'Eclipsed by The Sun --
from: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5422435/

The Political Education of John Kerry,' is a pretty straightforward account of Kerry's ill-fated 1972 congressional campaign in the Massachusetts Fifth Congressional District," says the paper. "The film will premiere to an invitation-only audience at Loews, Boston Common Theater on Thursday, July 22... Egan said he is in discussion with national networks and local television about a commercial airing."

Dr. Jack Wheeler is usually spot on.

Yeah, wasn't he the guy who exposed the Hillary/Vince Foster apartment?

Mommy Heinz!
Help!

Look what the Washington Post said on 8/21/04

"Although Kerry campaign officials insist that they have published Kerry's full military records on their Web site (with the exception of medical records shown briefly to reporters earlier this year), they have not permitted independent access to his original Navy records. A Freedom of Information Act request by The Post for Kerry's records produced six pages of information. A spokesman for the Navy Personnel Command, Mike McClellan, said he was not authorized to release the full file, which consists of at least a hundred pages. "

Look! What the Harvard Crimson wrote about me in 1970

Published on Wednesday, February 18, 1970
John Kerry: A Navy Dove Runs for Congress
By SAMUEL Z. GOLDHABER
Crimson Staff Writer

"...One time Kerry was ordered to destroy a Viet Cong village
but disobeyed orders and suggested that the Navy Command
simply send in a Psychological Warfare team to be
friend the villagers with food, hospital supplies,
and better educational facilities."

Now my shipmates on the
USS GRIDLEY CG-21
are attacking me.

and see what
the USS GRIDLEY crew say.

They say I told lies in Tour of Duty
GRIDLEY CREW ARE LIKE
SWIFT BOAT VETS MEANIES!

Mommy : People can get
MY real book here, right now, online FREE!!

I'm so proud of it!
The New Soldier,
By John Kerry
and Vietnam Veterans
Against the War

Mommy : Please don't be mad
about my hero Al Hubbard.

Head of Kerry's Vietnam Vets Against the War was Vietnam Vet phony
"Many of the stories were later shown to be fictional. Other so-called Vietnam veterans, such as the executive secretary of VVAW, Al Hubbard, a self-styled poet ("See what you've become, Amerika," ends one of his Vietnam odes),
turned out to have no record of service in Vietnam."

Mommy : Why does McCain
still campaign with Bush?
Mommy : Why doesn't Al Gore defend me?
He is a Vietnam Vet.

Mommy : Did Hillary
"leak" FBI Files on me?
I even used her famous slogan?

"Kerry entered and abandoned Vietnamese village and slaughtered domestic animals
owned by the civilians and burned down their homes with his Zippo lighter."

It only takes one idiot to raze a village!
(My original response!)

Mommy : Where is Ted Kennedy?

Perhaps a real soldier "borrowed" Kerry's 8mm movie cam and has a special treat for us?

I was wondering about that. Kerry couldn't have been the *only* vet with a camera.

But Cableguy, the fringe left is maxed out on its claims against Bush. They've been maxed out for months. Bush has absorbed as much mean spirited damage as he is going to. The polling indicates as much. But not so for Kerry. The attacks on Kerry are just getting started. He has A LOT more damage to absorb before the public sees it as old hat.

I believe you are correct there. I believe the media is just getting started on Kerry. Bush they have done since he was running in 2000. He has been pushed, shoved, smacked and kicked by the media until there is nothing left in his background to report. Kerry has been in the Senate for 20 years and never been under the media spotlight until now. He is fresh new media bait!

"What you are watching, folks, is a 30 year old festering boil on the backside of American being lanced. It's been a long time festering and although it's going to look ugly to those who don't remember Vietnam, to those who had no one there, but to those of us who did......it's going to look like blessed healing."

I'll be glad to see the Snidley Dem spokesman puke up. Thank you for your service.

You seem to be a bit out of the loop. If you had been reading the comments posted, you would realize that the same news has been reported on ABC. I don't think the trolls monitoring us Freepers were likely to be kept in the dark about something stated in the MSM.

Besides, in case you were unaware, October Surprises have been around for a loooooong time. Suspecting or hoping that one or the other party will give one is not exactly top secret info. Are you sure that I'm the ding dong here?

I agree with you that McCain/Feingold is both unconstitutional and criminal. That's why I intent to violate that law deliberately, and tell the FEC to "Come and get me," just prior to the 2 November election.

I thought 527's couldn't play ads after Sept 2?

Neither are they supposed to be in collusion with any campaign but that has not stopped the lefty 527's from coordinating with the Kerry campaign.

Sent them $100.00, today. Been following this story closely on the blogs and radio for weeks. I'm so angry at the media's handling of this the last several days now that they have been foced to cover the story. Each piece on the SBVFT is a hit piece on Bush. Even flippin Fox News reporting that the "controversy over both candidates Vietnam era service continues." BS! These are citizens exercising their first amendment rights. Payback's a b%tch, uh, jfk????

Call me newly STRIDENT!

Here’s a Letter to the Editor I just sent to our local rag:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Below is a Letter to the Editor on which I would appreciate your consideration. Please call me if you have questions concerning this submission. Thank you for your consideration.

Also, should you elect to print this letter, please use my email address with my name so anyone that would like to comment may via email.

=======

Kerry Can’t Stand the Heat

Wasn't it John Kerry who recently said "Bring it on" if anyone wanted to scrutinize his often repeated exploits during and after the Vietnam War? That brings to mind a schoolboy picking a fight in school yard and hoping the target doesn’t take him up on it.

Now, 254 of his former Swift Boat crewmates who have signed affidavits and are appearing in Television ads against him took him up on his call out. Former POWs are speaking out stating the congressional testimony John Kerry gave was fodder for the Vietnamese as they were tortured. They took Sen. Kerry up on his attempted intimidation.

Now Mr. Kerry would like them to back off. Using the same analogy he is begging for someone, anyone to make them stop. However, Kerry's actions during and upon his return from Vietnam should not be beyond reproach. His anti-war actions and allegations against veterans should not be shielded from scrutiny.

Instead of taking the “positive approach” that he said he would, Kerry (as most liberals) sees all manner of conspiracies in the opposition. President Bush on the other hand has endured a year of daily lambasting by Kerry surrogates and a willing media partner. I don’t recall President Bush once asking someone, anyone to pull them off.

As a veteran, which type of individual do I want in my foxhole?

=======

Thank you for your consideration. We enjoy and rely on your paper!

Respectfully yours,
Me

527's are NOT subject to the 60 day limitation on electioneering communications. Only labor unions and corporations. The Swiftees can run in October.

See the following link:

http://www.fec.gov/pages/brochures/electioneering.htm

“527” Organizations

The prohibition against the use of corporate funds to make or finance electioneering communications does not apply to certain organizations incorporated under 26 U.S.C. §527.

Incorporated state party committees and state candidate committees registered as “527” organizations are exempt from the corporate prohibition provided that the committee:

Is not a political committee, as defined at 11 CFR 100.5;
Incorporates for liability purposes only;
Does not use any funds donated by corporations or labor organizations to fund the electioneering communication; and
Complies with the FEC’s reporting requirements for electioneering communications. 11 CFR 114.2(b)(2)(iii).
Unincorporated, unregistered “527” organizations may also make electioneering communications, subject to the disclosure requirements and the prohibition against corporate and labor funds.
