Swifty October Surprise For Kerry
To The Point ^ | August 2004 | Dr. Jack Wheeler

Posted on 08/22/2004 3:06:46 PM PDT by Presto

Main excerpt: " However… in the famous words of Al Jolson: “You ain’t heard nothin’ yet.” The Swiftees have prepared an October Surprise for Hanoi John that is going to blow his candidacy out of the water. I can’t tell you what it is, but I can tell you the television and radio ads have already been taped, and they are going to have an impact like an elephant sitting on a donkey.

The Swiftees have three things in abundance: money, brains, and balls. They know exactly how to go for the jugular, they have the dough to do it, and they are saving their best shot for last. The Democrats will not know what hit them and will not know how to retaliate. Get set folks. The Kerry Train Wreck is not going to be a pretty sight. "

What you are watching, folks, is a 30 year old festering boil on the backside of American being lanced. It's been a long time festering and although it's going to look ugly to those who don't remember Vietnam, to those who had no one there, but to those of us who did......it's going to look like blessed healing.

It's KARMA baby!!! A 30 year wrong being righted. Go Swift Vets!

DO you have any explanation why some reporter---even a conservative---has not been able to use FOIA to get Kerry's war records? How did they get Thurlow's if they can't get Kerry's?

VERY WELL STATED imo.

Part of the 200K that went to the swifts last Friday was a tiny contribution on my part. I have felt better this weekend than any other I can remember. Ever since my service from '64-'72 in the USAF I have had a horrible pit in my stomach and pent up hatred for the anti American crowd.

I have e-mailed the new Swift commercial to everyone I know and am very sure that many will contribute. I'm going to try and make a weekly donation and urge others to do the same.

Every dog has his day and my day is coming soon.

Trust me: Bush would LOVE for the media and Kerry to try to take him on over Iraq. Kerry's base would erode---because he can't possibly "out-macho" Bush; and Kerry can't get any undecided/new voters because he can't provide any details of what he would do differently. That's why the Swifties' ad was devastating: Kerry is damned now if he stays on THAT playing field and damned if he moves to Iraq/terrorism.

No, it means you're not a "compassionate conservative," but rather a CONSERVATIVE like me.

That said, I'm working to re-elect Bush and actively giving to his campaign AND the swifties. I wouldn't give a cent to the Libertarians and asked to be taken off their mailers.

Exactly: you're wasting a vote if your choice is between two evil candidates, and that's why I would never vote for an evil pro-abort guy like Badnarek.

Everything you said is brilliant. You are way too smart.

Kerry better leave now. But, I'm afraid this is the old "here comes Hillary to the rescue" bit!

but Edwards has to go down with him.

But, what do you mean by that?

Was elected Executive Vice-President of his dormitory at Indiana University, and became a BMOC ('big man on campus') known for getting things done, while always maintaining the high principles instilled by his parents.

Was put-off by the "politics of politics" until his greater understanding of the Constitution led him to the Libertarian Party, and a renewed optimism.

I'm sorry, but I'm pissin' in my pants after laughing so hard.

Meantime, when we last left him, Michael Badnarik was on a door-to-door "Tour of the Heartland" Campaign to stoke the prairie fire that has become his candidacy:

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Have to agree with you. I've quit giving to the GOP national or state, and now only give to individual candidates like J.D. Hayworth and G. W. Bush. I'm sick of the OH state party supporting that turd Taft over a real conservative like Ken Blackwell.

Just an observation about the good senator,

If what he says is true about his experience in Viet Nam, why is he not in jail for war crimes?

Why during his 19 years in the senate did he not address the issues he so dearly embraces now,

for the mere fact he is a senator from that dipsh!t state who continually re-elects a flipping criminal (who’s initials are "Ted Kennedy", see Chappaquiddick bridge.) back every chance they get, this should give even a inbreed moron (or at best your garden variety liberal a stinking hint) that their golden boy is a punk socialist with nothing more on the ball than he married a lady with a bunch of bucks who got all her money from a dead republican senator.

As a closing thought in the form of a question
What do you call the person who graduates dead last from medical school?

They can't run ads in October because they are a 527 organization. Part of the McCain-Feingold regulation.

It will start off as an ad for Levitra/Viagra and then say "Here's a story about another prick."

You obviously don't know too much do you???

BTW, I think that MoveOn, DU, et al troll this site looking to see what is up. Next time why don't you send them a FAX directly? Better yet, give them a ring (you ding a ling) and lay out the complete plan.

Well, DUh...that's where I first saw it...DUh!!

To: MinorityRepublican

I don't know if this is true (I found it at the DUmp...DUh!) but it would be interesting

On "This Week" George Will was just asked if the Swift Vet controversy would go away by the election, and he answered "no" because there would be a documentary coming out by the Swift Boat Vets for Truth. I guess they want to try to out-Moore Moore.

This reply was hilarious given what their hero Michael Moore has come out with...

LOL, it takes more then bitterness and hatred to make a good movie

The legions of "hatriots" might see their spew but the rest of America wants nothing to do with these pimps of paranoia and bitterness.

Is there time for the DNC to run another candidate?

A candidate need not run in order to obtain the office. See Gerald Ford. Votors vote for electors in NOvember. Electors vote for President in December. Electors vote for the person their party tells them to vote for.

The law further contemplates unavailability of President, President-elect, etc. at ANY time, for ANY reason.

One of these days, we are bound to have an election that is unsettling to the voters.

I heard a discussion on the radio the other day of 527s vs. PACS.

As I understand it, 527s may *not* advertise 60 within the election (September 2nd). However, if they legally convert to a PAC, they can advertise right up to election day.

Being a PAC limits donations ($2000 per individual?) and bans union/corporate money.

I think the internet has really redefined advertising, though -- the swift boat ad only aired in 3 states or so. I, like many others, say or heard about it on the internet, (or weeks later) read about it in the paper and saw it on the news.

CFR can't ban Swift Vets from showing an ad on their own web site. It can't ban your bookstore from selling Unfit For Command. It can't ban Swift Vets from selling a DVD documentary on Kerry.

Someone else who claims an October surprise for Kerry.

Wait for Hillary's surprize, then bring on the swifties. I'll be waiting with baited breath.
