I had an epiphany while watching Bob Dole on CNN earlier today. It became crystal clear why the Ketchup Boy is hiding his records and refuses to sign the SF180...I will bet dollars to doughnuts that there are trails which clearly show that he put himself in for at least that first Purple Heart and was denied. It has to map out how he circumvented the system in order to collect his medals. That is, indeed, the smoking gun in this fiasco.
I hate to restate the obvious, but I believe that it cannot be said too much. John Kerry MUST sign the SF180 or this will surely become much worse for him before it is resolved. His butt-boys in the MSM have to know that as well. That should be the constant refrain from everyone that is seeking the "complete" truth in this deal.
SIGN THE SF180!!!

He enlisted in 1966 and got a discharge in 1978, 12 years. He wants us to focus on only 14 weeks of this 12 years, to ignore 11.6 years.
I think there are some terrible secrets in there. Courtmartial for a lesser form of treason and less than honorable discharge, performance reports that say he is fit to be anything but sewer worker or Senator from Mass., homosexual activity, marrying a Viet Cong spy or other terrible things. Just as we never saw Willie's medical records, we'll never see Traitor John's military records necause he'd have to resign if we did.
The media will pass up pulitzer prizes and lucrative book potential (movies) rather than follow up. Imagine what that guy at the Post could make if he found and published the truth! Naw, he'd be a neocommunist outcast!

If Kerry's dumb enough to bring up Swift Boats in a public debate, he deserves deportation to France.
This is probably a stupid question but I'm too old to care . . . Why does Kerry have to sign anything to release the records? The Washington Compost had military records on one of the Swifties FAXED TO THEM so they could weave a tale of lies! Is Lurch above the same FOIA law that allowed this to happen? Or is it because he's a politician that he gets to cover his ass?

Some records are confidential, and not subject to FOIA
without the consent of those affected by the contents.

You may be on to something.
My own theory is that Kerry's medical records will show that his "wounds" were laughable and, perhaps even more damning (if Kerry received military medical treatment after he returned)they may show that Kerry was treated or counselled for stress related disorders. We know about his regular nightmares(breaking up the furniture and such). Also, I think that in some of his prior interviews (previously posted here)he has dodged the question about therapy for post traumatic stress disorder. (BTW - I am brand new posting, but have been lurking for years.)
I have complete faith in Kerry being dumb enough to do just about anything.
What about the records made by each boat commander. Would they be different than Kerry's ..??
What about operation command which kept in radio contact with the boats during an operation .. writing down what action was going on.
How would a person get access to these ..??
