Lamestream media at noon on ABC:

They parroted the NY Slimes story on how the Swiftboat supporters have close ties to the Bush campaign -- one is a director of Bush I library, one friends with Rowe and another with O'Neill, etc.

It does put McCain in a different position now that some of his fellow POWs have joined the fray. I believe O'Neill said that over 20 former POWs have signed a letter supporting their efforts.

I can only get the video portion, not the audio

That's weird. I can get the whole audio but only the start of the video (on dial-up).

It's done in that crappy windows format that dosen't let you right click and capture it -

Hopefully the Swiftvets will put it up in mpg or avi - I'd like to put a copy on my laptop and pda to show some people.

Un-FReepin'-believable! Is it intended as self-parody, do you suppose?

I wish they also had JOHN KERRY saying HE committed THESE WAR CRIMES! Also have a picture of the book KERRY wrote about HIS WAR CRIMES too. Then I'd be thrilled at the ad. These ads are killing him.

"This one will do more to solidify the right than to peel away the moderate Dems."

I respectfully disagree. There are moderate Democrat Kerry supporters who are also veterans. Not all of those are Vietnam veterans. A lot are too young. Some are Gulf War vets. Some are veterans of the current War on Terrorism. They have families. They know Vietnam vets. They will ask questions.

My answer to people who believe that all or most Vietnam vets committed war crimes is to ask - calmly and rationally - if they have a close friend or relative whom they know well, who's a Vietnam veteran.

If the answer is 'yes', I then ask if they believe this person, their father, uncle, brother, husband, best friend, whatever, is capable of committing the atrocities they're accused of. If the answer is I don't know, I tell them to ask that person if they ever did or ever witnessed these things.

It makes them think.

Time for another donation to Swift Boats. The wife is going to wring my neck. Guess I'll be eating cereal for a month.

LOL! Some things really are worth sacrificing for, aren't they? Does donating to them give you a big, warm, fuzzy feeling inside like it does for me?

Oh my, this ad is almost too chilling to watch. The POWs who suffered more because of John Kerry, (and Jane Fonda) are finally saying these things out loud. Indicting John Kerry in the process.

It's fitting it was just this week disclosed that Jane Fonda will sponsor a "Vagina Votes" event in Harlem during the Republican Convention, and that she has personally given 13 million dollars to support his campaign.

Just showed this ad to one of my more liberal coworkers. He's never been a JF'nK supporter, but he refuses to vote for Bush. Anyways, after he saw this new ad, he said, and I quote: "Kerry's toast! Forget it, I'm just not voting this year."

This is what I hoped would happen. Don't expect the anti-Bush types to change their mind with this ad. But, if it stops someone from voting for JFnK (or voting for Nader) so much the better.

I heard it on Rush a few minutes ago. Amazing...that haughty little stuck-up Ivy League ...

The thing is, folks, this particular commercial plays GREAT on audio alone!

Radio ads are cheaper than TV...

It is unbelievable but this character has a chance to be Commander In Chief. It is possible if he were elected he would turn our soldierswho serve in Iraq over to the UN to be tried for war crimes. I hope America is too smart to elect Kerry.
This ad is unbelievable and I shiver to think of the tortue some of our people faced as prisoners because of John Kerry.
I am in my mid sixites and in my life time I have never seen anything like this. Clinton's lies are small compared to this maniac.

That's not going to work at all. They haven't retracted anything. In fact, I would expect to see both commercials running back to back many times over the next few months.

It just blows my mind that the Bush spokespeople don't ever bring up the huge donations made to the democrat 527's.

Did you see the donation list I posted earlier at #373?

Thank you for your service, CedarDave, and you have a great tagline!

POWs Denouncing Kerry Include State Chair for
John McCain’s Presidential Bid

http://humaneventsonline.com.edgesuite.net/unfit_mccain.html

Despite today’s allegations in the New York Times that the group is a front for Bush political operatives, the harshest words for Kerry in the ad come from Paul Galanti, a former POW who served as Virginia campaign chairman for Bush rival Sen. John McCain (R.) and who was also an active member of Veterans for Mark Warner (the Democratic governor of Virginia) during Warner’s 2001 gubernatorial race.

“John Kerry gave the enemy, for free, what I and many of my comrades in North Vietnam, in the prison camps, took torture to avoid saying,” says Galanti, who was held prisoner for seven years in the prison camps of North Vietnam.

Referring to John Kerry’s Senate testimony of April 22, 1971, Galanti continues: “It demoralized us. He dishonored his country and, more importantly, the people he served with. He sold them out.”
