"Powerful stuff, and still to come is an add detailing Kerry's traitorous meetings with the North Vietnamese communists at the Paris peace talks and his special shrine in the Vietnamese Hall of Revolutionary Heroes dedicated to their American supporters."

That will be #3 in the series. Once this is done, the Bush team will begin their campaign with Kerry's senate record.

Oh man this is awesome.

if he announces health problems, it will be interesting to see how many believe it. I'd say, not much more than the ABB crowd.

Oh brother.....Kerry saying that the new add means the Swifties are giving up on smearing his "war record". Is that the best they can come up with?

FOX (Major Garrett) reporting that Kerry campaign saying "oh, so the vets have given up on challenging Kerry's heroic war record . . . "

Uh, sorry, guys, that just ain't gonna help.

"Kerry will fall back on his "Unfortunate youthful over enthusiasm." "

- I believe Kerry was either 28 or 29 when he got involved with the Jane Fonda crowd and testified at the hearings. Someone of that age is expected to be past the "youthful over enthusiasm" stage.

Fox rocks! Fox is one of the few channels that will let O'Neil and co. actually speak without shouting him down.

I understand that Chris LeHane left the Kerry boat...er, campaign...sometime back. Kerry hired Joe Lockhart. Shows what kind of sorry judgement the candidate has IMO.

The one thing that doesn't make sense in this whole thing is that this campaign has obviously been planned for a long time -- but how could anyone have known that Kerry would make his Vietnam service the focal point of his convention speech?

These ads are devastating, but I suspect they would have been far less effective if the Kerry campaign had been pursuing a different campaign strategy.

At least part of it was just on Fox News. Major Garrett said that it will be a $600K buy in unspecified battleground states.

Send the SBVT a few bucks. This ad should run everywhere!

Fox lover here as well, but to have any effect at all, this has to be on the MSM. Starting with the MS cable channels, then over to the alphabet channels to really hit the sheeple.

I don't think THAT scenario was what Shaits and McInsane had in mind when they muscled through CFR. Instead of protecting the incumbents, its ended up empowering ordinary voters. They passed this thing to insulate incumbents from criticism. Quick guess: who in the Senate voted for CFR? Oh its rich with irony, alright.

the swif boats have a multipronged attack:

1. Kerry lied about his war record.
2. Kerry smeared all Vietnam Veterans to advance his political career.
3. Kerry is unfit for command.

Raising point no. 2 doesn't refute point no.1 Rather, it just further builds the case that America would be idiotic to elect John "Fonda" Kerry.

I disagree. This will hit seniors and Reagan democrats directly.

My father is a Reagan democrat. He was very much in support of the military during the Vietnam war, while he was in his early 30s. He served in the Navy in the mid 1950s.

The day I turned 18, he made absolutely sure that I registered for the draft. I had no intention of not registering, but he thought that the attitude of the kids at the time might have rubbed off on me.

This ad will change his mind about Kerry. I think I know him well enough to say that it will even make him strongly anti-Kerry. I can see him actively discouraging his friends and family from voting for Kerry. He might even vote agaist Kerry by voting for Bush.
