Here's the newest ad from the Swifties.

Check this ad out. Wow!
So Kerry just hired Clinton's scandal spokesman Joe Lockhart? It just keeps getting better and better!
We may be seeing the official end of the 1960s political class, at least in terms of their ability to lead a major ticket here in the U.S.
According to Borders Bookstores that chain is undergoing a "recall" of the book and stopping sales. This was told to me by 3 different sources all in the last 24 hours. A call placed to Border's in Manhattan this morning drew a no comment - but was also told the book was no longer available and they were not expecting any new shipments.
Now why would a bookstore NOT want to stock the number one New York Times Bestselling, Amazon Number One Best Selling, and Barnes and Noble Number One Best Selling book? Which is fine - you can buy it right here: UNFIT FOR COMMAND.
This is a NUKULAR AD!!!
POW's come out AGAINST KERRY!!
G
This one will sink him (pardon the pun) if it gets significant airplay. This should have been the focus from the start. This focuses the disagreement squarely between the veterans and Kerry, not Kerry and Bush. Notice that nothing in this ad has anything to do with Kerry's war service itself. It focuses on what he said when he got back. I wish the swifties had never brought up anything about his service other than the fact that they did NOT commit war crimes and did NOT venture into Cambodia.
The ad is targeted at the soft undecided center, the independents and other such voters.
I sent my $25 last night, but I'm just relating what the spin is already.
"Powerful stuff, and still to come is an add detailing Kerry's traitorous meetings with the North Vietnamese communists at the Paris peace talks and his special shrine in the Vietnamese Hall of Revolutionary Heroes dedicated to their American supporters."
A new ad every 7-10 days? Works for me.
Kind of had the opposite affect for me... I was watching those POW's hearts being ripped out.
I'll say one thing about Kerry. He makes the Clintons look good.
McCain would be wise to be quiet. A future ad may say, "While Senator McCain was being tortured by the Vietcong, here's what Kerry was saying in America." McCain would look idiotic to support Kerry. Hopefully, McCain stays quiet.
Bush in 2004
HILLARY!OUS in 2008.
I LOVE THAT LINE!!!
May I have your permission to use that line with my link?
I'll give ya credit for it!
Kerry supporters' only real defense is to say that Kerry was telling the truth in his testimony. That will fly with ABB people, but not with undecided voters. I can't wait to see how the NYT deals with this one.
Great post!
"Exactly. The MSM will run to him pleading for a response. McCain is Kerry's ally. I wonder if he will call his fellow POWs dishonorable and dishonest."
The Bush team played this perfectly. You are right. The MSM will come running to McCain for a response. This time McCain will say that what Kerry did was an affront to the nation. He will say the ad should not be pulled and that the American people deserve to know who the Democrat nominee for President is.
Senator Edwards to the green room please....
A former neighbor who died five years ago was a Green Beret. One night my wife, brother and sister-in-law were swimming with him and his wife. I noticed a severe scar on his left knee and asked if he played football.
His reply put a chill on the evening.
He was captured and held prisoner for two years. During the first days of his capture, the Viet Cong ran a bayonet through his left knee and put a wire through it and tied him to a tree so he could not run away. But, he said the worst part about captivity was the aftermath when he learned of fellow Americans saying he was a war criminal.
This ad is for you Willis...RIP.
