Despite the healthy percentage of fascists among the liberals, even some of the lefties get the vapors when you start talking "book banning". This should be good.

The liberals have their books and films and concerts going, so now time to suppress the opposition. Stalin and Hitler would be proud. Mao probably would have sent us all to re-education camps, though, so we should consider ourselves lucky in at least that regard.

Sounds like Hillary wanting to control the flow of information on the Internet.

These Dems sure don't like free speech or free press -- when it isn't in their favor.

How ironic. I wonder what Ray Bradbury would say. He has his sequel here.

Unbelievable. I've had mine in my shopping cart on Amazon for a couple of weeks. Just went ahead and processed.

I think I'll have to hit the bookstores and pick up ANOTHER copy.

If they really said this, it'll send this thing through the roof!

Unfit for Command is #1 at Barnes & Noble (online) and there is a 1 to 2 wait for shipping.

I repeat: Kerry is toast.

I guarantee a Bush win in November.

By Eric Boehlert Aug. 19, 2004 | The Kerry campaign has told Salon that the publisher of "Unfit for Command," the book that is at the center of the attack on Kerry's military record by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, is retailing a hoax and should consider withdrawing it from bookstores. "No publisher should want to be selling books with proven falsehoods in them, especially falsehoods that are meant to smear the military service of an American veteran," said Kerry campaign spokesman Chad Clanton. "If I were them, I'd be ducking under my desk wondering what to do. This is a serious problem." Even some uncomfortable Republicans might breathe a sigh a relief if "Unfit for Command" were to vanish from bookstores: "I don't think the Swift Boat Veterans are helping the Republican cause," Rep. Christopher Shays, R-Conn., remarked on CNN Thursday.

Unfit for bookstores***Unfit for bookstores Salon ^ | August 19, 2004 | Eric Boehlert

The Kerry campaign calls on a conservative publisher to withdraw a book after the Washington Post torpedoes the veracity of a Swift boat veteran.

While I can well believe that Kerry would be stupid enough to make such a move, I cannot believe that his advisors are stupid enough to let him do it. No, I will not believe it until I see the Kerry press release. If there is one, I predict total campaign meltdown within 48 hours. How can his media enablers continue to hammer away at Kerry's supposed attackers when their hero has called for his critics to be gagged without appearing to endorse his position on curbing free speech?

BWAHAHAHA! He'll just help sell another half million books with that approach.

What a whining pansy. Just release ALL your records Kerry and prove it's a falsehood.

Strange I've never heard him denounce Michael Moore for all his totally made up BS but he manages to find a problem with guys that are telling the truth.
