George and Laura Bush to be on with Larry King for the full hour tonight. I don't usually watch LKL because of his lame questions. But it should be interesting.
GWB is so sharp. Perhaps more so than I have seen him in the past. I am impressed. He is his usual direct, plain spoken self. I think if he does this well during debates he will outdo the liar.
I missed the first 20 minutes though. Larry asked him about the 7 minutes after the 9/11/01 attack? What was Mr Bush's reply?
I love this -he is superb tonigh.
Larry King is such a puts. what a lame brain idiot. How has he stayed on TV for so long?
I just love the way Laura watches him speak, then looks back to LK or the camera. "Serene" is the perfect word for her.
I can't help but compare it in my mind to that night John Edwards creeped me out as he stated at his wife the whole time she was talking...never took his eyes off her. It was so canned.
Loose a seat in the Senate? Having McPain as intelligence czar might be the quickest way to get a Republican in that seat!
sw
and he thinks he's going to win big, and he's right
I think people who see him answering questions cannot help but think he is an honest an decent man.
Not defending Larry King, but I have a bad back and can't sit at a table without leaning on it. LK is lots older than I am, so I'll give him a pass on this.
Exactly. The media has been shameless in this election.
King is no different. They are pushing for Kerry so hard it is pathetic. They are showing more bias, telling more lies, and covering up more dem scandals...than they did when GW's father ran for re-election.
"Just look at Larry's face (skeptical) in the picture above?"
Not really. He's not being a jerk or anything.
Great observation.
I saw McCain a few times during the debates in 2000.
When the camera is not on him it is obvious that he is a tortured man, and understandably so. Because of that, I give him a little slack. Everyone at our table noticed the same thing and realized he did not have the temperment to be President.
There is something very fishy about the push by the leftists for President Bush to "accept the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission". (They want an American Politburo or something?) I haven't figured out what their attempted Game of Gotcha is on this one, but it's there. Don't fall for it, Dubya! It's sure to be as bad as "Campaign Reform."
"re: 7 minutes. I wish he'd said something about how they had to secure the area before he left anyway. Grrrr"
He never says that. It makes me think that maybe he feels that it would sound like a copout. But it is surely true. I have always assumed that they told him to wait, but he has never said that.
will someone be posting a full transcript? maybe it will be on the white house site...
LK is a jerk. A liberal trying to put words in the president's mouth and trap him into something.
Welcome to Free Republic; I see you joined us a few months ago.
The battle over? LK is putting words in his mouth..and the Pres is having NONE of that.
