In So Cal, gas prices continue to drop, even as oil continues to rise.
What is going on in your neck of the woods?
And you know, now we're thinking (sort of) that $1.99 is cheap, and we're relieved! A year or so ago, I'd have been throwing fits at paying $1.99/gal for 87.
Grays Lake, Il
Shell
87 grade, $1.87 / gal
I think the problem is not so much oil price as it is a combination of oil availability and refinery capacity.
At Costco in Bremerton, WA, on west side of Puget Sound across from Sodom on the Sound, it is $1.79.9 yesterday. Most of the regular stations, it is from about $1.87.9 to about $1.95.9.
Wanna bet that the gas companies will hold the price to
insure that JF'nK isn't elected!!!
I envy you. Baltimore MD suburbs are pretty much holding steady but gas stations are all over the place from $l.83 to low $2.00s.
Just paid $1.82 at Costco in Phoenix.
I bought 1.89 in Tosa today
$1.70 for regular unleaded in the Houston, TX area (Diamond Shamrock and Conoco). The big name companies still charging around $1.75 or up.
the other weird thing is that gas prices traditionally plummet after labor day..
Was a $1.65 today in Madisonville.
In Florida, for the month of August we are having the 8 cent gas tax taken off, putting prices in NE Orlando around $1.73-1.76.
Yeah, I was sort of averaging in all those places I drive past where I would never buy gas. My car take premium and the last two tanks I bought were for $1.99/gal. near the airport.
$1.89 for 87 in Cincinnati, OH.
1.97 AT ARCO
ACTON/CA.
$1.93 average around Bangor, Maine.
It takes longer to ratchet down than to ratchet up!!
Scottsboro, Alabama $1.799 grade 87. Probably cheapest in North Alabama/
Actually I get my gas in Athens which is even closer to you. Riceville doesn't have any stations except for little convience stores which are always higher and the gas is watered down. We got down to $1.65 once for about two weeks recently and then it shot back up again. I work in Cleveland and it's higher down there.
$2.33 for chevron, $2.19 albertsons
in Ridgecrest, Kalifornia
