I just saw Shep Smith on Fox, talking about the Swift Vets, and saying "hardly any of these guys actually served with Kerry, I mean they were in the same war..." He also has "experts" on the pro-Kerry side and no one on the other side...what's going on with Fox on this issue???
I believe its all over he fix is in. Sadly for us all Kerry will win.
Bingo!
One thing to keep in mind - I think a lot of newsies, even those with a pro-Bush bent, are not happy about this, because in addition to making Kerry look bad, it makes the press look incompetent. These Swiftboat guys are documenting open-source information and interviewing people that ANY reporter could have interviewed had he just exerted the effort to do it. The charges in the book make Kerry look like a fraud, but they also make the press corps look (choose one of) lazy, biased or incompetent.
Having lived through Hurricane Betsy (we were awaken in the middle of the night by neighbors telling us to get out due to rising water -- eight feet of water in the house the next morning) I can relate. That's the same kind of irresponsibility we're seeing from the people claiming that the terror alerts are politically driven. When the time comes that we need to heed those alerts, people will tune them out because the media told them it's all an election ploy.
Maybe Fox is bored with having the GOP in the Whitehouse and thinks ratings will rise if they can become more antagonistic towards the Whitehouse.
If anyone has gone en-mass with a group of motorcylces would understand the concept. If someone goes down, people "see" it without having to crash.
The one boat question is a Disembling talking point that needs to be NAILED. Paging HANITY!!
If he is calling the liars, isn't that slander? Can they not sue and force him to back up his words?
Rassmann is going to be sorry he wanted his fifteen minutes of celebrity.
Boy, you are easily discouraged. Hang tough!
Fox's COO should take a sabatical until AFTER the election.
It almost does seem that way - with Shep saying the WH does not intend to attack Kerry's military service.
Oops. I said eight feet of water in the house. Eight feet on the ground, five in the house.
Rassmann lost all credibility last night -- made a fool of himself.
Get it correct. His name is Jim Rassman. Misspelling his name just confuses the issue further.
the WH also said ALL 527 ads should be pulled across the board.
Shep is a TWERP! I can't stand Fox anymore....too many Liberals like Shep! He's an IDIOT.
Just like when he used to be on ABC. A lone voice of reason in a sea of stupidity.
Did you also notice that she did her best to appear as menacing as possible? She did not shake the Swift Boat Vet either. He stuck to his guns.
There HAS to be some
heavy handed puppet master pressure in there some where.
I don't know any other quite sufficient explanation.
I hope none of the Swift Boat Vets start turning up dead.
Prayers are called for, for sure!
Curious.
