I just saw Shep Smith on Fox, talking about the Swift Vets, and saying "hardly any of these guys actually served with Kerry, I mean they were in the same war..." He also has "experts" on the pro-Kerry side and no one on the other side...what's going on with Fox on this issue???
No, no... he said they were Liars. He did not preface it with it is my Opinion they are Liars. He sad he was mad it was lies. He should have to back that up. I am pretty sure they could sue because he made such a clear declaration as fact.
You nailed it. If something doesn't happen to change the media tide that's calling all these men LIARS, they'll have been spit on again by the actions of John Kerry. The fact that this is happening to our country's best, including the career military, high-ranking officers, and Congressional Medal of Honor winners amongst them, is a tragedy.
Shep goes off on rants every once in a while renewing my impression that he's not the brightest bulb in the Fox fixture. I remember he was making fun of a hurricane evacuation when the storm veered off. That was VERY irresponsible and could lead to people ignoring the next warning when it doesn't veer. He is a youngster and tends to engage mouth before engaging brain.
Fox is running scared. This is such a shame. I cannot believe Americans are letting these lies become facts,I fear our cause may be lost forever
This is a battle that was doomed from the outset. The only good thing you can say about this commercial is that you'll have the pleasure of ranting about Kerry's Vietnam lies for the next four years.
Fox is pissing me off to no end. I've had it with O'Reilly and rest of the them. Is there an alternative??
Foxnews has REALLY been ticking me off lately. It's like they have all been advised to shill for Kerry. Kerry gets all positive coverage from them.
That's very much like the game I play with Greta following Hannity's show.
He was obviously given "talking" points today that he did not research. I am sure an email, phone call campaign can easily fix this one.
**Sounds like the way Susan Estrich was talking last night, when she "sat in" for Colmes.**
I saw that last night, jeez what a bee-ach that broad is. I worked in an office, 4 people in my room, 8 in the next, 4 in the room beyond that, that 3 in the last room. I didnt work directly with the 3 in the room farthest from me, "not in the same room (boat)" but I knew that one was a pain in the butt
PCFs were 50FT long with a 13 FT beam and a crew of 6 (one officer and 5 enlisted). You would think the pundits were talking about an aircraft carrier.
I wouldn't be surprised if the White House was advising FNC to back away from the story.
Freerepublic usually works for me...
I called, they throw you over to the automated response line and you have to hear a fox commercial.
One of the swift boat crewmen called into Houston talk radio this morning and emphasized that they were a flotilla, they often were no further than 15 feet away from Kerry's boat, and everybody knew exactly what was going on in the other boats and they knew the crewmen on those other boats.
I agree!
Definitely have to bombard them with emails then. I actually like Shep most of the time. But I could have thrown a shoe at the TV, also, if I had seen this.
