CBS Radio News is talking about this ad right now. Played a significant portion of the audio, then cited McCain's comments against it, and now reporting the Whitehouse is glad the Kerry Campaign understands what its like to be attacked in this manner.......LMAO!
It appears Senator Ketchup is okay dishing it out, but when it comes to return fire, he turns tail and whines.
Works for me.
Okay .. all you McCainiacs .. here's your hero!
Bump for later.
Sen. McCain should understand that this is just both sides coming out. First we heard Skerry side and now we hear the other side. Thats all. I think Kerry can defend himself though without our help, I mean after all he's got that one Green Beret on his side who say Kerry saved his life.
I would like to see the GOP focus more on what Kerry did after he came back against our troops and for the enemy in America, than what he did for our troops and against the enemy in Nam.
'The president thought he got rid of this unregulated soft money when he signed the bipartisan campaign finance reform into law,'' McClellan said. A chief sponsor of that bill, which Bush initially opposed, was McCain. In the technical jargon of political science, that's what's known as a "bitch slap".
In 2000, Bush's supporters sponsored a rumor campaign against McCain in the South Carolina primary... McCain said that's all in the past to him, but he's speaking out against the anti-Kerry ad because ''it reopens all the old wounds of the Vietnam War, which I spent the last 35 years trying to heal.''Hmm. I wonder how many wounds were inflicted on veterans of Vietnam who returned to find John "Silver Spoon" Kerry aiding and abetting all those yelling about baby killers. McCain on some sort of committee to tend those wounds?
George W. Bush will be reelected by a margin of at least ten per cent
McCain won't join in GOP criticism of Kerry
Mike Sunnucks -- The Business Journal
Arizona Sen. John McCain Thursday said he would not join in Republican criticisms of Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry.
McCain said he is pleased to co-chair President George W. Bush's Arizona re-election effort with fellow GOP Sen. Jon Kyl but he won't attack Kerry.
"John Kerry is a friend of mine therefore I don't wish to criticize him," McCain told reporters at the Arizona State Capitol....
I guess McCains value system places friendship ahead of truth and national security.
Bush people should also take note that it's obvious McCain does not consider W a friend, since he has no problem criticizing him any chance he gets.
Hey McInsane... the truth hurts doesn't it? If Kerry's accusers are liars that will become evident in due course. On the other hand if what they say IS true, I'd want to know about that before I go into the voting booth. Negative advertising is feared only by politicians who don't want the public to know something about them they don't want the public to know. And in case you haven't heard, your statutory rape of the Constitution did NOT yet annul free speech in this country. F*ck off.
Hey McPAin, SHOVE IT~~~~~~~~
The difference is that this is truth and Moore's is lies... truth sells.
manchurian mccain's own record in Nam is suspect...
Gee, Johnny Mc, what if the ad is true and sKerry is the dishonest and dishonorable one? Seems to me that's entirely relevant to presidential politics? I can't recall Johnny Mc publicly calling for his good buddy sKerry to call off his dogs regarding the unfounded AWOL charges against Bush (except very late in the day).
One thing I haven't heard pointed out is the sKerry was smart enough, when he cut and ran from Vietnam, to make sure that each of the crewman on his boat got a transfer out of the Swiftboat squadron. That, plus the money he's thrown at them over the past 30 years to support his various election campaigns, seems plenty motive for most of his crew to tell their war stories with a pro-sKerry spin.
Judging by the reactions, these ads are hurting kerry very badly.
The democrats are going all out to neutralize them.
They even had Senator john mccain break his cover prematurely.
Senator McCain,
What is it that you don't like about the Swiftboat Vet's advertisement?
Are you in a position to question ANYTHING those vets have to say about Kerry?
Are you upset that the ad is effective?
Did Kerry promise you a job if he's elected?
If you had been on any of those swiftboats working with Kerry, or in his command, wouldn't you feel qualified to assess his performance?
Do you approve of Kerry's behavior after returning from Vietnam?

McCain dishonered his country by foisting CFR on us. You can't author legislation to curtail free speech and be anything but a traitor. He shat on the Constitution. Whatever honorable things he has done in the past have been flushed by his own hand.
