Presumably the "reliable citizen witness" is one of his relatives, based on what we've heard.

What an idiot.
Just divorce her if she won't let you smoke cigerettes.

The purpose of capital punishment is to put lost souls like Mark Hacking out of their misery.

What is the (censored) deal with these guys wanting to kill their wives instead of divorce them? I know the courts are brutally in favor of the women, but this is getting out of hand!

I doubt it. There seems to be a preponderance of evidence already, and they don't even have the body. The only question will be whether he'll spend the rest of his life in jail or a mental institution. I'm guessing he'll spend a short time in jail, and will then graduate to Death Row.

----now that this is as good as solved, I's like to hear more about the Sandy Berger theft of classified documents--
--I'll watch closely tonight on the ABCBSNBCNNews--

Well, it's just hearsay,
and, besides, the guy was in
a nut house . . . It can't
count for anything
in court. In our modern courts,
who knows how this works.
To: snopercod
Why would you think he will be acquitted?
The evidence seems quite damning.

Utah has Death Penalty.
To: johnfrink
I agree...he won't be going to a mental institution. He isn't and wasn't crazy....just a sociopathic liar who felt trapped by his lies. If he were crazy, there would be lots of strange behavior BEFORE he murdered his wife....not after. He is going to prison, hopefully to death row where he belongs.

Just out of curiousity, how many "reliable citizen witness" does one run across in a Psychiatric ward anyway?

Because without a body, the case is pretty much up in the air for the prosecution. It's all circumstantial evidence which can be easily twisted by the defense. Just look at the Peterson case...need I say more? That bastard will probably end up with his life.

The purpose of capital punishment is to put lost souls like Mark Hacking and Andrea Yates out of their misery.

I'm concerned for Teresa Kerry. If I were her, I'd be sleeping with one eye open.

I'm sure Scott Peterson is thinking, "what an amateur".

Just out of curiousity, how many "reliable citizen witness" does one run across in a Psychiatric ward anyway? I think reading between the lines we can infer that it was one of his family members to whom he confessed.
