The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

I agree. That's what got my bell ringing; perforated bowels. That's not a common viral side effect, is it?

Nothing specific I'm hearing. The CFD is doing numerous drills today, all over the city.

"Two Men Arrested from Albany Mosque:"
"Two men suspected of being involved with an al Qaeda affiliate were arrested in Albany, New York, on Thursday in a scheme to launder money to buy a shoulder-fired missile, U.S. law enforcement sources said.

The sources said the arrests on Thursday night were unrelated to the raising of the terror threat level over the weekend on intelligence that al Qaeda was targeting financial centers in the United States.

Arrested were Ya Seen Arif, 34, and Mohammed Hoosain, 49, the sources said. Arif is the imam of the Masjid As-Salaam mosque in Albany, while Hoosain was the founder of the mosque, they said.

One of the men is a U.S. citizen but the nationality of the other was not immediately available.

Another source said the two were believed to be linked with Ansar al-Islam, an Iraqi militant group suspected of having ties to the al Qaeda network."

RITFLOL I've fallen and can't get up...

On the radio here they said the stock market is in a free fall. I knew freeper would know before I could find it.

Freeper's are the best. They make me laugh everyday. Should we all say our goodbye's before it to late? Any last will and testaments? I am so nervous I can't stand myself too much caffeine!

Reminds me of friends I know who fly. Sometimes landmarks from the air resemble something different than they would from the ground. Some pilots have a lingo for such landmarks.

This also makes me think about the flight similation programs that some of the 9/11 terrorists used to become familiar with the topography of the cities they were going to hit.

Thanks for the reminder about the names they used for the targets, I recall those names now that you mentioned it. Just makes my blood boil.....which in turn makes me want to brainstorm!!!

One thing that does come to mind are areas of land that when looking at a map might resemble the "loop" of a bow...maybe areas of water (e.g. the great lakes area) that could also resemble the loops of a bow....I will continue to ponder.

DFW Airport Terminal Evacuated

Posted on 08/05/2004 12:52:27 PM PDT by GOPyouth

"FNC just broke in a couple of minutes ago saying DFW airport has evacuated one of the terminals (C I believe) due to a possible pipe-bomb placed in luggage.

"Shep Smith said the luggage was being scanned and a possible image came up that resembled a pipe. The bomb team has been called in."

I have a birds eye view of the airport and planes are landing normally. Wow, busy day in DFW area for scares though.

I think the freefall is due to the Russian oil situation. Looks like they have the KGB version of the IRS, which aint that far off from ours. They are seizing all money from their largest oil producer to pay off a tax debt.

I agree about the bridges. Two bows=two bridges. Maybe bow as in bow and arrow, rather than bowtie.

Considering the recent chemical tanker that was stolen (I think it was in Florida) last week...and was found empty. The chemcials that were missing were never named.

I wonder if the illnesses in TX could be related to trace amounts of a "corrosive" chemical that could have been placed in food. And now this article about some more "missing" chemical in the UK.

Warning after 'Potentially Deadly' Chemical Stolen (UK - August 15th)

By Brian Farmer, PA News Police were today searching for thieves who stole a “potentially lethal” chemical from a factory.

Fifty-four litres of hydrosluoric acid – which is used for industrial cleaning – was taken from the factory in Dereham, Norfolk, in the early hours of Wednesday, said a police spokeswoman.

She warned that the chemical could cause “deep tissue burns” if it touched skin, and gave off “strong fumes which could prove fatal”.

Police urged anyone with information about the theft or the whereabouts of the acid to get in touch.

“It is a strong, highly corrosive acid which is used for industrial cleaning,” added the spokeswoman. “It can cause deep tissue burns on contact with skin and could prove fatal in the wrong hands.”

She said officers thought that the thieves had decanted the chemical from its original container into smaller containers before making off with it.

Initially officers thought that 23 litres of the chemical had been taken but further checks showed the amount was nearly twice that.

I'm really curious about this one.

My sister returned from a seminar in Dallas two weeks ago and has been complaining of abdominal distress ever since. She had a sonogram yesterday, as well as blood tests. So far, nothing is showing up on her diagnostics. She is scheduled for further tests tomorrow. They've ruled out pancreatitis, cholecystitis and ulcers. Sister is not one who runs to the Dr. for every little thing....but the pain has really motivated her this time. LOTS of pain, diarrhea and nausea. The ony food she is able to tolerate is chicken broth and plain yogurt.

Anyone, please ping me if you find out more info on this. I'd like to let her know about it.

Hopefully, it will prove to be something rather innocuous.
