I wonder if the illnesses in TX could be related to trace amounts of a "corrosive" chemical that could have been placed in food. And now this article about some more "missing" chemical in the UK.
Warning after 'Potentially Deadly' Chemical Stolen (UK - August 15th)
By Brian Farmer, PA News Police were today searching for thieves who stole a potentially lethal chemical from a factory.
Fifty-four litres of hydrosluoric acid which is used for industrial cleaning was taken from the factory in Dereham, Norfolk, in the early hours of Wednesday, said a police spokeswoman.
She warned that the chemical could cause deep tissue burns if it touched skin, and gave off strong fumes which could prove fatal.
Police urged anyone with information about the theft or the whereabouts of the acid to get in touch.
It is a strong, highly corrosive acid which is used for industrial cleaning, added the spokeswoman. It can cause deep tissue burns on contact with skin and could prove fatal in the wrong hands.
She said officers thought that the thieves had decanted the chemical from its original container into smaller containers before making off with it.
Initially officers thought that 23 litres of the chemical had been taken but further checks showed the amount was nearly twice that.
Wasn't that the same chemical that was spilled on I35 in Texas last week?
RR Did your sister eat out while there? She probably did, but what did she eat and where? I hope and pray she is ok.
