The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

The Electromagnetic Pulse Commission Warns of an Old Threat with a New Face

Snippet:
A nuclear-generated electromagnetic pulse "is one of a small number of threats that has the potential to hold our society seriously at risk and might result in defeat of our military forces." The Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack announced this startling conclusion in a July 22 report to Congress.1 This alarming report clears the way for Congress to debate more seriously the most effective measures to meet the threat of an EMP attack.

Some of us are not familiar with weapons. Could you, someone, explain the range of uses for a surface to air missle? Obviously an airplane could be a target. Could a train be a target? a building? What are the limitations of such weapons?

It's going to be an interesting Olympics.

Snippet from your article:

According to security sources, the games have been hit by another security failure: Plans to check backgrounds of staff were dropped as organizers ran out of time.
