CNN is reporting that among likely voters Bush's numbers went up with Bush getting 50% and Kerry 47%. The poll was done after the convention. This means Kerry got a negative bounce.
The war has been the most successful major war in US history. The only people saying otherwise are obviously lying for their own political gain.
Less than 1000 KIA would be considered a successful battle, to have such a kill rate for an entire major war is completely astounding.
Removing a madman and freeing millions is still considered a noble goal. Seeking to build a new ally in a dangerous region of the world is still considered a brilliant strategic move. The people saying otherwise are lying, and I'm not afraid to say it.
I think the hysterics we're seeing from the Michael Moore crowd are the death throes of the D party as we know it.
They'll say that the poll was done over the weekend so more Republicans were polled than Democrats because the Repubs were answering the polster's calls on their cellphones while hanging out on their yachts. The Dems, on the other hand were hard at work getting triple overtime slave wages working for their evil Republican corporate masters and could not respond to the polsters phone calls.
Good news, but it looks like the terrorists are doing all they can to help him today.
That what you get when try to get a bounce with a really, really rotten dead cat
how could this be......Petah said Edwards was VP.......
Russert has a Newsweek poll that showed Kerry 47% Bush 42%.
None of these polls mean anything until maybe after Labor Day, after the Republican Convention.
October, with the debates, the polls will probably be more accurate. Too many voters are still watching summer reality shows and staying out late at the parks and malls, and are paying about zero interest in the election at this point.
How much ya want to bet Kerry takes ANOTHER vacation .. *L*
But the Zogby Sauce(tm) says "Kerry blowout". "South turns strong Democrat", "Kerry's to Lose". I'm so confused.
Kerry Had Affair While Still Married-Character Issue Threatens Presidential Candidacy
Maybe people are figuring out that nearly every word out of Kerry's mouth is a lie.
Amazing that in 1997 Kerry told Crossfire host that Clinton would show leadership if he dealt with Iraq regardless of whether the UN Security Council approved or not. He also had harsh words for France and Germany.
How things have changed since 1997.

Can't be true. Bush is going to lose according to Newsweek and FOXNews Sunday.
Actually it's the exact opposite.....fewer Pubs on weekends
I too vividly remember Limbaugh sending his man to serve Kool Aid at the first Dem convention for The Nameless One, and how confident we all were that Bush the elder would (in Hewitt's phrase) beat him like a bongo drum.
And I remember that confidence turning to mounting horror. And we all know who ended up beating the bongo drum.
As long as it's more than a day before the election, and Bush's lead is less than double-digits, I'll stay worried, thank you.
Dan
remember, we are talking about what the Dems will say, not about what the facts are.
Has anyone got a link?
good bounce bump
"The People have a right to a contested election between the two major parties, and if a candidate is too far behind in preelection polls, that candidate may be replaced to defend that right".
This was not heard by the USSC, so it stands as (local) precedent.
When Kerry is 30 points behind in late September, who do we klw that could be available to restore the People's "right" to a close election?
just to get it out there bump
Or the Wile E. Coyote bounce.
