Your husband is overly optimistic and you are right. The dems have cloaked themselves in the patriotic mantle, it is deceptive but many americans are easily deceived. Take a look at how many voted for Al Gore. Look at how Clinton deceived a whole nation, and he was exposed with half still defending him today. WE live in perilous times and people call good..evil; and they call evil...good. This is election is up for grabs.
I pray for GWB, and I will vote for him and believe for his reelection. However I see a more organized front and redirection of anger in democratic party. They are determined to win, if it means stealing this election and destroying America in process. Don't be surprised at anything you see. A house divided cannot stand. Let's only pray they are the ones divided and its their house that does not stand, not the USA.
"More and more decadence in societal life, less intellectual thought about where we are going, more and more demagogues, more handouts, less responsibility. A welfare state with a lot of attention to celebrity, fashion, sex. A weak state."
This is Britain, France, Germany. Eastern European countries will be interesting to watch.
If the national media continues to deny truth "a fair field and no favor" we are doomed. Just report the facts, g-ddammit!
Do you think it's too early? I don't want a thread with a whole lot of moose and chees, shower, series and hugh comments.
You can read an interesting article about Kerry's cookie business at:

Thats funny... and this guy wants to run the country. He does not have an original idea in his head. He!!, Bush got a baseball stadium built and if I'm not mistaken, they did not go the taxpayers w/ hat in hand.
1st rule in Dem Club -- Do ANYTHING to get elected
2nd rule in Dem Club -- Don't get caught doin' rule 1
tru peace...D
Seriously. I've seen pictures of them together where it looks as though they are going to begin French-kissing.
The flags the dems waved and metaphorically wrapped themselves in at the convention were left on the convntion center floor. (per Carl Cameron) Says it all about their patriotism.
Nothing he can ever say or do will redeem him from that lie. He would like us to forget that it was his team who tried to disqualify the military vote in Florida.
Brian Wilson, FoxNews, Bagdad and Mosul. Churches hit. Iraqi official says to expect massive casualties.
Kerry then sought swift boat duty which was considered safe. After his switch, the boats missions were changed and he was put in danger. This was not something he sought intentionally.
Churches: 4 in Bagdad, 2 in Mosul. Carbombs hitting churches. (FoxNews)
He opened a cookie shop, after copying another franchise. He was sued, and shut it down.

"I am so sad to see Campaign Carl Cameron on Fox is a dem"
What makes you say this? I've never seen Carl Cameron have any bias in his reporting.
Not so much where he will send the troops as where he will get them.....is he planning on re-instituting the draft.....sure sounds that way.
Is that that Republican attack dog again????
lol
I kid you not.....that's what Rubin stated.
I loathed him when he did a 180 on all his core beliefs when he ran w/Gore in 2000.
Although he has made a feeble attempt lately to reclaim his reputation for common sense (some freepers have applauded him...not me), his statement today shows that he will follow the democrat's lie to the grave if he thinks they have a hope of winning back the WH.
Lieberman IMO is a sell-out and sorely lacking in moral certitude.
