XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN JULY 25, 2004 23:33:04 ET XXXXX

TERESA TELLS REPORTER TO 'SHOVE IT'

Teresa Heinz Kerry, wife of Democratic nominee John Kerry, told a reporter to 'shove it' on Sunday evening -- immediately after giving a speech calling for a more civil tone in politics.

Speaking to the Pennsylvanian delegation at the statehouse in Boston, Heinz Kerry delivered an impassioned plea against hate politics:

"We need to turn back some of the creeping, un-Pennsylvanian and sometimes un-American traits that are coming into some of our politics."

"I remember a time when people in political parties in Pennsylvania talked to one another and actually got things done. We have to go back to those days when we can do things properly, for the people need it."

"My prayers for you, for me, for the country, for the world, are that we keep this at a high level, with dignity, with respect and with a great idealism and courage that took our forefathers to build this great nation."

According to multiple sources who attended the event, Heinz Kerry upon finishing the speech pushed her way through the Secret Service to get to Pittsburgh Tribune Review reporter, Colin McNickle. Upon getting to Mcnickle, Heinz Kerry asks, 'Are you from the Tribune Review' Mcnickle says, 'Yes, I am.'

At this point and in an irritated fashion Heinz Kerry says, 'Of course, understandable. You said something I didnt say. Now Shove it!'

Tape of the incident is being edited to air on Pittsburgh's WTAE-TV, and, according to a media source, ABC NEWS is set to run with it thereafter.

A witness of the incident said reporters were "stunned" by Heinz Kerry's outburst, especially in light of the speech she had just given.

She sure DID look pissed! I noticed that, as soon as she came out of the dugout, she looked quickly around,as if she were taking note of the booers (for possible flogging later!)

Wow. Guess I'll have to stop refering to Missus Rodham as the living embodiment of Lucretia Borgia... looks like Missus Heinz now owns that disembodied spirit.

Wonder how ballistic she'd go if someone refered to her as "Trixie"? I'd give a months' pay to see that.

Someone mentioned that she hates being called Mrs. Kerry.

So, being the considerate person I am, from now on, she's Mrs. Kerry.

I wonder how she feels about being called the second Mrs. Kerry.

Mrs. Kerry, Jr.?

Mrs. Kerry the Elder?

You're right about ABC, but NBC carried the shrew at the top of the broadcast. I'd heard Teresa's rant on radio, but NBC's film of her chasing down the reporter and getting in his face was chilling.

And PBS carried Kerry's girly-man pitch in full, with surprising scathing comment by lib pundit Mark Shields, along with an appreciative comparison with Pres. Bush's fine STRIKE in the 2001 World Series. No, I wasn't dreaming!

"Kerry had the guardsman MOVED?
Yep .. to the LAST row .. what a great guy Kerry is /s >"

Actually I picked it up on my scanner from Radio Shack when the Guardsman called in to his commander asking "if he could go home now". When the commander replied "Negative - you need to stay at the game", the guardsman replied "Roger, but I'm moving as far as I can from that jerk Kerry".

Awesome!

Not only is it chilling to see the shrew (Terayzzzza) go bonkers on camera, but the fact that she was oblivious to the cameras makes you wonder about her sanity (like so many other things about her)

Geez, you're absolutely right, VGG. How could I have confused Mozambique with Madagascar?

And I couldn't agree with you more about her classification. Genetically, she's Portugese. Culturally, she's Portugese. She happened to be born in Mozambique but how much could she have in common with those who originate from that area? Just a guess here, but I'd say "not much" -- Mozambique is 99% black, most are illiterate, below poverty line, reliant on subsistence agriculture and speak a variety of African languages in their daily lives despite the "official" Portugese language. The AIDS/HIV rate is somewhere around 13% and the average lifespan is only 37 years. I just don't see her fitting in here.

She really, really likes to point fingers at people she doesn't like. She even used the dreaded 'double point' when she told him to 'shove it'.

She's a worthy successor to Hillary Clinton. I just hope she doesn't get elected to the Senate.

Of course Kerry would defend it - it goes right along with his "The son-of-a-bitch got in my way" line. The little people have no right to speak OR to take up space!
