The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Australia and Italy have received warnings through a statement purportedly from militants linked to al Qaeda that demanded those countries withdraw troops from Iraq.

Morocco Lost Track of 400 Al Qaeda Islamic Militant Suspects

I guess they could be anywhere? Sounds like the terrorists have free reign pretty much everywhere they set up. Case in point - USA - where are they? Like cockroaches, they are hiding in plain sight among us.

If our alphabets can't detain or hold them (like the 14 with expired visas who were on the Northwest flight), how can we expect others who are apprehended will remain in custody? Homeland Security, although doing well on some fronts, has some "splaining to do" on the many terrorists who are apprehended and who slip back into our cities via the cracks in our immigration and criminal justice systems. Oh sure, Anne Jacobsen "overreacted." Now where are the 14 Syrian musicians anyone?

MUCH AGREE about wide posting formatting etc.

I wonder . . . Perhaps before this idea gets too far, someone could ask John and Jim if they'd consider hosting a baby FR at whatever rate per month with clearly defined, outlined parameters for responsibility to police ourselves etc.

What frightens me is knowing simple things our present PC behavior prohibit could keep our nation from being attacked again.

(1) They rent vehicles (not own them) We should have someone going through car dealership and rental agency lists and pull names of ME types (yes, profiling) and finding out WHERE they live and further verifying they REALLY do live there.

(2) They rent homes and apartments. Real estates and property managment companies have names of tenants.... Investigations should commence verifying who is actually living in those homes or apartments who fit the ME stereotype (yes, profiling).

(3) Airlines could produce lists of locations to the alphabets where ME types are consistently flying. Profiling, yes, but also observing any decipherable patterns

(4) Colleges and Special Training Institutions could supply lists of student names and their courses of study. Any student fitting suspicious parameters (like learning a specific skill and dropping out while being a ME type) oops profiling again...should be checked out.

Since none of this can actually be accomplished, because it is reprehensively politically incorrect, we remain more apt to be slaughtered at the sleeper cell fanatics whim. Where is John Wayne when we need him?
