I couldn't find one, so I started one.
I think I have figured out what Kerry's National Security plan will look like.
It will be a picture of him on his knees in front of the enemy asking them..."pretty please...don't attack us".
If he's elected....We're doomed.
Aha, mystery solved! Now we know why Kerry bought that jock strap in front of the media with his daughter in tow.
And no one will ask how it is that OBL evidentally shared this information with Iraq:
less than two months before 9/11/01, the state-controlled Iraqi newspaper Al-Nasiriya carried a column headlined, American, an Obsession called Osama Bin Ladin. (July 21, 2001)
In the piece, Baath Party writer Naeem Abd Muhalhal predicted that bin Laden would attack the US with the seriousness of the Bedouin of the desert about the way he will try to bomb the Pentagon after he destroys the White House.
The same state-approved column also insisted that bin Laden will strike America on the arm that is already hurting, and that the US will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra every time he hears his songs an apparent reference to the Sinatra classic, New York, New York.
Wow. You sure are uplifting and inspiring.
Bob Kerrey did make one statement that I thought was revealing: "What we know today about Bin Laden, we knew in '95...90% in '98." Of course, it could also be a criticism of the Bush Administration (who else?) for not learning the other 10%. (Arm-chair "generals" want perfection.)
Why hire yet another red tape jockey to "oversee" the intelligence community? Who "oversees" THAT "overseer?? Yet this shadowy "overseer" is what the media is concentrating on.
It sure is. Since they kept Ben Veniste and Jamie Gorelick they lost all semblence of fairness and objectivity and all credibility.
The sad part is that President Bush...who has actually done worthwhile and important work fighting terrorism, is going to have to act as though this stinking pile of dog sh*t really means something.
Your right
Ok, so what? Did you really expect anything else from this commission? Why all the doom and gloom now? We havn't lost yet, I doubt we will lose in th elong run, and I'll tell ya something else - regardless of what is in, or was left out, of this report, Americans are still, by and large, going to still wake up everyday, go to work, speak their minds, raise their children, and live their lives the way they always have.
Bottom line? This report, like the commission and it's members, is insignificant. It's a bone tossed to the media, and will change nothing.
The worst part is the disrespect to those who actually died in 911.
True, but even that's not something that should make us just roll over and piss ourselves... It's something that should make us fight harder.
But, if people want to whine, cry, and yell "WE'RE ALL DOOMED!" then I guess I can't stop them. I can call them idiots for doing so, however.
I don't believe that "I'm going to open the door" line. What I do believe is: Daschle's wife being the chief airline lobbyists, did her job well in keeping such an expense away from the airlines. She changed her tune after 9-11.
Oh, I thought of the magic bullet theory promulgated by none other than Arlen Specter.
Just reading the news anymore requires all kinds of analysis you can't take anything for granted anymore. It's like everybody lies all the time.
