Kerry's daughter: The media is mean
Boston Herald ^ | 7/20/04 | Dave Wedge

Bostonians' sweeping concerns over gridlock and other Democratic National Convention week headaches have been overblown by a ``mean-spirited'' media, Sen. John Kerry's daughter Alexandra said.

``I think it's sad that that's something that's been perpetuated in the press,'' Kerry's daughter told reporters during a conference call yesterday. ``I think sometimes the press likes to perpetuate controversy. Some of it has been mean-spirited.''

Kerry said she's heard her father talk about the massive road closures and other security woes. Still, the tight-knit clan is looking forward to the July 26-29 Democratic shindig at the FleetCenter.

``I think it is a positive celebration,'' she said. ``I think for people in some ways . . . it is an inconvenience. Certainly my family is very concerned about something that would disrupt people's lives.''

The senator's daughter made the comments while discussing her family's plans for the week leading up to the DNC. She will accompany her father on the campaign trail to his birthplace of Aurora, Colo., Sioux City, Iowa, and Philadelphia before hitting the red carpets in the Hub.

``We're going to go pave the way for the welcoming committee in Boston,'' she said of plans for her and her sister, Vanessa, to arrive in the Hub this weekend.

"Yeah, that's why everybody here is moving to New Hampshire..."

So the Taxachusetts residents ARE catching on.

Red nail polish wouldn't be tacky in all cases --- but with the dress Ms. Kerry is wearing it's just the finishing tacky touch.

She'll change her tune once she's stopped in traffic...

Go easy on the girl. She has tacky genes.

I read this morning that they've removed the trash cans from 30 Boston streets including around Kerry's neighborhood, Beacon Hill, and the residents are fuming. Ha!

Gawd, what a ding bat.

Is this the one who says she wants her Secret Service name to be "The Hot One?"

Yes, public trash cans around here are already gone...all that remain now are the frames that held the cans into place. People are leaving refuse in the frames (which nobody is picking up) and garbage is now piling up and blowing around. Nasty stuff! The city also put in new brick sidewalks in many parts of my neighborhood. They are nice, but not when there are food wrappers and soda cans strewn everywhere. Hope the Dems like wading through crap more than I do.

You've got to admit with a dress like that no one was looking at her face.

I can't believe it either. One law school student who lives on my block (who supports Kerry and was genuinely excited about having Dukakis as one of his professors this past year) is taking off for the week because he thinks Boston will be "lit up" and plans to be well outside of a possible nuclear fallout zone (Yes, he actually said this.I am dead serious)...it boggles the reasonable mind.

She looks just like her father. Speaking of fathers, is her father so desperate to allow his daughter to parade around looking like a slut to get attention for his campaign?

A decent father would not allow that at ANY age. A decent father would have raised his daughter to KNOW better than looking like a used up whore.

Kerry's daughter has a "horse face" like her father. You do not need a picture.

Shooks, How do you survive in such a liberal place. I think it would drive me insane(I'll requalify that: More insane).

That photo is typical of the E-mails I regularly delete for lack of interest in porn. We are looking at a race between a sitting President who may have allowed, without direct knowledge, ill-trained female guards in an Iraqi hellhole of an overstuffed prison to giggle about naked prisoners, against a contender who, testifying under oath, before the US Senate, stated that he had personally committed war crimes and atrocities against Vietnamese civilians.

The rather ridiculous Ms. England is looking at a potential twenty year sentence, while the self-confessed murderer of civilians is running for Commander in Chief. Guess which candidate I am voting for.

Kerry's dating advice to his daughter: "you know honey, it's just as easy to fall in love with a billioaire as it is a millionaire."

Hey, maybe somebody should set her up with the heir to the Oscar Meyer dynasty, then they'd have the hotdogs and condiment market covered.
