Interesting - maybe the Palestinians are finally getting tired of their leadership.

Here is a quote from a Krauthammer column on the subject that is a very good read: "Arafat failed, spectacularly. The violence did not bring Israel to its knees. Instead, it created chaos, lawlessness and economic disaster in the Palestinian areas. The Palestinians know the ruin that Arafat has brought, and they are beginning to protest it. He promised them blood and victory; he delivered on the blood."

Gee, it sure took them long enough. Either they are not the brightest folks or their stubborn pride knows no limits. Either way, it has set the Palestinians back decades from the rest of the world. Better late than never though. I 'm guessing Arafat will give some sort of Zionist hater speech to get them back on track of self destruction.

Why would they lump the French in with the corrupt Arafat regime?

I believe the French are leading financial supporters of Arafat and the PA.

It's about frickin' time that the Palestinians get a clue about Arafat. He's a terrorist and has no business being recognized by anyone as some sort of leader. He has no interest in making peace with Israel. His goal is the complete destruction of Israel. For too long, the Palestinians have followed him along this path. Perhaps now they are realizing it's the wrong path. I'm not holding my breath but I'm hoping this is a good sign.

You're right - that's radically unfair!

No way are the Palestinians as corrupt as the French!

What a slander of the Arab nation!

Could it be because the frogs are a corrupt, morally bankrupt nation?

You need to learn to read between the lines here. The only "regular" Palestinian people are members of Hezbollah, Abu Nidal, etc. In other words, terrorist gangs with allegiance to mob bosses different than Arafat and his band of thugs, who call themselves the "police". This is like the Corleone family going after the Tattaglias, or any other of the "five families". Except in the Palestinian territories, there are no "civilians", only gang members of one mob or another. They're all absolutely crazy! What else can you expect from suicidal and homicidal mad Moslem murderers?

Ummm. These are Palestinians. They were looking for some people they could capture without a fight.

They had to get over their mind-blowing deep-seated hatred of the Jews. That stopped their thinking. kept the Palestinians together with a common enemy.

Now they have a wall between them and the Jews and only themselves to take care of the situation in Gaza. Who can they blame now???

Arafat.

I appreciate things may be more complicated there than we can understand. But, did you see the Krauthammer column? It seems to be saying the same thing. And, I did read stories a few months back that ordinary Palestinians kicked Hamas bomb makers out of their neighborhoods, they did not want their neighborhood wiped out by Israel.

Quite interesting. Here's to hoping they are tiring of the insanity.

I'm not holding my breath though. After all, these are Islamofascists we're talking about here. Kind of raised to be insane, they are.

Krauthammer always gives the best analysis of a situation and I think he is perhaps wise.

The only danger is that there are even worse folks around who might take the reins. It will have to be "a real people rising" for good to come. And the majority of these people, from the time they are born, are "taught to hate". Can they bury their hate in the name of peaceful co-existence?

"And, I did read stories a few months back that ordinary Palestinians kicked Hamas bomb makers out of their neighborhoods, they did not want their neighborhood wiped out by Israel."

I prefer to interpret this as members of a rival gang kicking Hamas out of their territory. NEVER as "ordinary Palestinians", meaning "ordinary people", shedding ne'er-do-wells from their midst. It just means that the Hamas thugs weren't members of the local gang of thugs.

There are simply NO "normal" Palestinians in existence! They're ALL rabid wolves!

Iffy, at best.

Certainly no one has provided proof yet that you are wrong so it is hard to argue with you on this.
