CIA: 9/11 Plotters Transited Iran, Govt Tie Unseen
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - About eight of the Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers passed through Iran before attacking the United States, but there is no sign of official Iranian complicity, the CIA (news - web sites)'s acting director said on Sunday.
We are the "Stotters" who make ourselves aware of the enemy who wishes to do us harm

FWIW: Many tsunamis are actually caused by underwater landslides, not the earthquake that triggers the landslide. Although my desire to be a geological oceanographer wained when Jaws hit the big screen, earthquake/volcanism are the triggering mechanism for landslide related tsunamis although it could be debated (and is in oceanographic and geologic circles to a degree) whether or not crustal displacement is not an equal or greater source of water displacement. I am aware of recent studies that are looking at paleoslides off the Atlantic shelf, the key question is the triggering mechanism. Terrorist triggering mechanisms were the origional basis of this subthread. If the terrorists have nukes, they would have a higher probability of success using it in the conventional way, not through trying to trigger a tsunami (by what ever mechanism) through some tinfoilish method.

Sounds like twin accidents. Last summer's accident was even worse. I need to break the cycle :-)
My husband is the EOD expert around here. I'd best leave it to him. Who knows what damage I'll do.

BBC NewsUS energy sites tighten security
By Barnie Choudhury
BBC correspondent in Washington
Los Alamos has suffered other security lapses
Energy facilities in the US have been told to halt operations that use the type of computer discs missing from the Los Alamos nuclear weapons laboratory Nineteen employees of the New Mexico centre have been suspended while the FBI probes a security breach there.
They were called in after two storage devices disappeared from the top secret laboratory just over two weeks ago.
The discs are thought to hold classified information, possibly containing nuclear secrets.
An investigation and comprehensive review of security is currently taking place and has shut down all work at the key installation.
Embarrassment
The US Energy Secretary, Spencer Abraham, has ordered work to be stopped at all departments that use the of kind of devices that are missing.
Almost 8,000 people are employed at the lab and managers are having face-to-face meetings with them to make sure their security and safety training are up-to-date.
This is the latest in a long line of security breaches at the installation, that have included a scientist being imprisoned for charges relating to mishandling secret nuclear information.
Despite five years of trying to plug security gaps, the installation continues to embarrass the authorities.

Mine happened a few years ago. I avoid those pesky ladders like the plague now.
I'm glad you're doing a lot better.

OK. No offense intended; I do get in a visual "rut" once in awhile, and can't see what's right in front of me. It generally only happens when I'm scripting or coding, but it's embarrassing when it happens.

Regarding Twexus:
Twexus thought that everything between encquery= and & was the search string. So it started to 'remember' it. Why do I know? The database takes note when which term got added, and what the source is.
1AB02D188BC35723620E2406B7234504 is nothing more and nothing less than the ISO-8859-1 version of the term: americanpitbulls. Try it: go to the URL above. then change any of the numbers in the the long string. You will find that one of the characters get funny.
I think that somebody thought (not knowing about the simple solution) that this code would be some magic info. Somebody thought that it would be twexus / terrorist way of transporting information. Which is a very stupid assumption for a giziliion reasons. But there are people literally believing in this theory. They might have thought if they combine that magic code with the OBL video that then somebody would figure out what this number combo means ...
They had no way of knowing that the solution for 1AB02D188BC35723620E2406B7234504 is so simple and easy and non dramatic.
Opinions?

I don't think it is fair to be critical of donations/fees when he was here sharing info that is found in the membership area for no charge.
