CIA: 9/11 Plotters Transited Iran, Govt Tie Unseen
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - About eight of the Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers passed through Iran before attacking the United States, but there is no sign of official Iranian complicity, the CIA (news - web sites)'s acting director said on Sunday.

Thank you for the help in case of having to find an alternate route. I think the 67 to 15 and then Del Dios may be the best bet. I'm not sure on the 56 as I'm wondering if more people might use it in the morning since it's been talked about so much on the news lately. We're not going to leave until around 9:30 so hopefully most of the traffic will be cleared out (I can dream can't I?)

It definately is a lot worse than what they originally were saying. I've not heard how many they had to evacuate from the area. Only heard about them telling people to stay inside and not to allow the outside air in.

Bad situation here.

You are spot on with that deduction Donna Lee. Just this week I had a phone conversation with a new acquaintance. We discussed the terror threat briefly and I asked her if she had begun to prepare for it by purchasing extra canned goods and having the ability to exist without electricity if that were to happen. She indicated she had not and asked if I thought it necessary. I explained that in the event of a catastrophe, grocery stores, if open, would be out of most items almost immedidately. She began to see that at least minimal preparation was better than none at all. There was no need to discuss political persuasions. Reasonable people can understand and relate to the issue of basic survival, provided they comprehend the danger we face.

with all the horror border stories, we don't stand a chance!M/i>

If Kerry wins the election, he's promising to give them citizenship. We haven't even begun to feel the force of THAT invasion. Our elected politicians are destroying our country and ignoring the will of the people who elected them.

Actually, what's probably best, is take 67 and then turn right at the light near the bottom of the grade (onto Espola) and take Espola the three miles or so it is to Pomerado Road (past the high school, huge curve to the left in the road after that) and then turn right onto Pomerado (shell gas station and Alberstons on the corner) and take that to 15... Then you only have to go one exit to Via Rancho to take Del Dios...

And yeah, it's definitely worse...they're saying all the alternate routes and surface streets are at a stand still now, and the CHP guy didn't sound at all convinced that even a reasonable morning hour is feasible.

I have a feeling A LOT of folks will be staying home (as happened back in Oct. with the fires) in part just b/c logistically so many people are pretty stuck or it will take them hours to do what should take 1 hour under the typical "worst" case scenario situation.

Send me a freepmail and I'll give you my mobile # b/c I can see the freeway from here and can help if the back routes are worse in the morning than you expected!

I am not sure where Laura and Jill first obtained it. I know where I did, though. The vids/audio were supposedly on more than one forum. They were deliberately posted to Englsih speaking forums. The Arabic and English subtitled versions were both on IH on Monday afternoon (7/19) when I first saw them. These are the various English and Arabic links and some are still live:

You are welcome to my soap boxes at any time.

Well said and true.

Kingman is the evacuation point for Tucson and Phoenix, if there is a major Nuclear bomb attack in San Diego, according to the 1960's plans of wind currents and mountain ranges.

I have not heard of any 'getting ready' for them since the 1960's.
