In either case, I also do not trust doing business over the phone because the phones might be bugged by authorities and I do not want to be taped by the authorities over at your country. Do not worry. I am NOT using the picture for advertisement as I promised. I just wanted to see it once, and now I am going to delete and destroy it so that no one will see it. I did have trouble at the Western Union office. There was a brand new clerk there. A young girl who was new at this job. I thin she was a teenager or in her early twenties. Apparently she didn't know what she was doing. I demanded to see the manager, or whoever was in charge, but that guy was away on his lunch break. So I had to work with this girl. We finally got the payment sent.

Not to worry. $12,000.00 is a perfectly reasonable sum for attorney remittance fees. In fact, here in the United States, those kind of fees usually cost somewhere around $30,000. But I guess that the cost of living is higher here than in Africa. Please inform your assistant, Mr. Arnold Jackson Ububuka, that I will be sending him this remittance feee shortly. (I need time to go back to the bank, withdraw that amount, get back to the Western Union office, etc.)

Gloria, darling, it's not a matter of the money, but I feel that your lawyers are not very competent. I send payment, they receive it, I get an email thanking me for the payment, and then they complain that I didn't send it. Don't they ever communicate with their assistants? No one seems to know what the other one is doing in that law firm. I wouldn't worry about the lawyers. Sooner or later they should be getting in touch with their assistant, Mr. Ububuka, and everything will be straightened out.

This is not how to do business Gloria. Though, I am glad that you sent me the photograph of the money. Had you not done that, I would have accused your lawyers of trying to scam me out of my share of this deal. It helps to serve as a reminder that the money exists.

Please tell the lawyer to hold on. I will find the receipt and send it to you within the next couple of days hopefully, and I am taking your advice about seeing a lawyer to go down there and help you out (and help me out too).

Gloria, dear, I also have some very bad personal news about myself. About my health. I saw a Doctor, a cancer specialist, yesterday. And he informed me that I have a tumor in my neck that is cancerous. Now, there is a 50/50 chance that I may pull through this. I will be taking radiation treatments for it. And if that succeeds, I will live. But if the treatments are not successful, I will have only about 3-6 months to live. Can you imagine being told news like that? I was stunned. I am very frightened, and very scared. So, I got more things on my mind than just money matters.

I will need your prayers and moral support to help me get through this terrible period.

Again, please give me a couple of days to find the receipt. I will also start shopping around for an Attorney.

By the way, the Western Union person asked me if I wanted "restricted delivery", but you didn't tell me whether you did, so I just got it. The Western Union person said it means you can only pick up the money at a Western Union location. You must go directly to the western union counter, aparently something to do with high theft rates. I thought that was probably a good idea to make sure that the lawyer gets it and gets it to you.

No there would NOT be a trace of it on the computer because the Western Union person asked me if I wanted "restricted delivery", but you didn't tell me whether you did, so I just got it. The Western Union person said it means you can only pick up the money at a specified location. Pus, the transaction won't be trackable online (after all, it is a secret transaction we are dealing in here) and as a result, the transaction wont be posted online. I thought that was probably a good idea to make sure that Mr Odoi gets it and gets it to you.

And I do not recall you making ANY promise to get the money to me without my own expense. But if your offer on that is still open, I'd like to take you up on that. Because I'd like to come out there personally to close this deal, and have a nice little vacation. Can you cover my expenses still?

No, I did not do this myself. I am not blaming your lawyer. I do think that he is a little bit incompetent, but I am not blaming him. I do not know that guy and I thought that maybe you or the lawyer did.

By the way, someone broke into my computer and grabbed alot of my files and pictures. I don't know who. As a result, your picture was leaked to the media here in my country. I have heard from the editors of two major newsmagazines. They liked your photo and will be running with them in upcoming publications. They paid me well for giving them interviews, and soon I am invited to go on a talk show called "The Masculine Feminist"

Attached are scans of the front covers of upcoming newsmagazine issues. Time magazine and Newsweek magazine. (As I understand it, the Newsweek copy is still in it's editing stages, but the Time magazine is coming out as is. )

I have contacted the authorities about Arnold Jackson Ububuka. According to Interpol he is a very famous con man. As it turns out, he gets peoples passwords, gets into their mail, and then looks for imfoprmation that will make him money. After I get my hands on him I will strangle the 2500 dollars he took from me.

What it means by "restricted" is that it can only be picked up by the person you send it to, and from the Western Union office you send it to, pus the transaction is not recorded online for security purposes.

By the way, will you send me a new photo of yourself to replace the ones that were stolen from me?

A friend of mine is a banker in this small town. A senior came by and wanted to withdraw $30,000 for a similar scam. He begged him not to but he did anyway and of course lost all the money. So by tying up the bad guys, you may well have prevented another victim.
