Backup electrical systems failed to kick in

A mysterious power failure at Logan Airport that delayed dozens of flights for more than five hours has still not been explained – six days later.

Airport officials insist airline security was not compromised during the blackout Monday at Logan International's Terminal E, but backup electrical systems failed to kick in as they are programmed under such circumstances.

(Yes, I am profiling here and it feels good!).

How else are we to tell the bad guys from the good guys? Crystal balls cost way too much and my Ouija Board just won't spell them out when I ask for their names.

"...the look on his face can't be described."

Times like these, I can't even imagine the incredible burdens that are borne by Bush, Cheney, Ridge, et al, because they are "in the know". We really need to keep them lifted up in prayer, because only God could supply the strength they would need to do that job.

GIVE US THE DATE TOM!!

Geez.. sorry about caps..but..

We got a guy who was inbound from overseas, with anti-American propaganda, who also had ties to a known Terrorist, and also had a suicide "note" with a freaking DATE on it.

Then (if I have the timeline right) Ridge comes out with his "oooo look out for baddies, but we don't know when or where" speech...

Anyone else NOT getting this?

Muslims... AFAIK don't hop on a plane to America with suicide notes to quitely OD on Vallium in a hotel room for Suicide.

The dude must have spilled some beans that he is but one among many, and we should be told what date was on the freaking note... right?

Or is it economy uber alas?

For all those who think that the Administration is dropping the ball on Kerry, the election, and the ludicrous statements of the media, this is why. They're occupied with the things that really matter.

Anchorage Alaska. Nine days of newly wedded bliss. They've got a chopper tour of the glaciers scheduled and some other tourist-y type stuff.

Did they experience the quakes up there? Have they called you? about it? I'd imagine that would be a first time for them, being from FL.

I'm not sure they'd be able to differentiate an "earth moving" experience from the romantic type at this point. No calls to us, but they did call their cat sitter to check on the cat with a heart problem to make sure he was taking his meds. as far as we're concerned "no news is good news." Kelly went through Hurricane Andrew with us, so she's no newcomer to natural CATastrophic events!

Al-Qaida Hacker Hits Arkansas System (July 14th)

Little Rock, AR, Jul. 14 (UPI) -- FBI agents are examining a state of Arkansas computer server that was transformed into an al-Qaida site, the Washington Post said Wednesday.

The files were removed from a computer operated by the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department shortly after they were discovered during the weekend, a government spokesman said.

Links to the files were posted to a message board of a group called al-Ansar. The Web site features photos of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, as well as facts about Islam and links to chat rooms and other Islamic Web sites.

Arkansas Transportation Department spokesman Randy Ort confirmed approximately 70 unauthorized files were posted Sunday to a "File Transfer Protocol" site the agency operates for contractors. FTP sites are widely used throughout the Internet as a way to transfer large files quickly.

Ort said the FBI has confiscated the server where the files were located. Laura Mansfield, who tracks Web sites for Northeast Intelligence Network, an Erie, Pa., private group of analysts that monitors the Internet for terrorist activity, said hijacking unsecured FTP sites is standard procedure for al-Qaida sympathizers, but it was unusual for them to take over a government site. I just opened up our company's payroll for Friday. A large announcement from ADP

Important Disaster Recovery Information

Please be advised that ADP has implemented a Disaster Recovery phone number that you can utilize in the event that phone lines to our local office are not working.

When activated, the number below will route your call to a Customer Service Representative in another ADP Office.

Please keep in mind that this number will only be activated in the event of a disaster or emergency, etc etc etc.

I have no doubt that we are monitored by both Jihadists and elements of the Federal Gov't. We used to joke during the late 90's that we (FR) probably had a shift at NSA dedicated just to us. There are a number of screen names here that have been suspected of being fed plants. Many live to spread disinfo and disruption. Don't worry, I haven't seen any of those here on TM.
