Backup electrical systems failed to kick in

A mysterious power failure at Logan Airport that delayed dozens of flights for more than five hours has still not been explained – six days later.

Airport officials insist airline security was not compromised during the blackout Monday at Logan International's Terminal E, but backup electrical systems failed to kick in as they are programmed under such circumstances.

I think your perspective is

MUCH MORE than common sense.

I think it's extremely accurate common sense.

I used to think that was going to happen in the next 30-90 days 2 years ago. It still could.

It now appears to me that it will be a more drawn out process.

But it is

CLEAR TO ME that the puppet masters have set up the Jihadi's to start the next world war to pressure the world's populace into their global government of tyranny.

And, I think they are very eager to get martial law set up in the USA and to begin to try and remove as many guns from private hands as they can get away with.

At what point China, Russia, Iran, Cuba, Mexico et al will fulfill Dimitri Dudaman's predictions/dreams/visions remains to be seen. But I'm still hoping and praying that we have at least until 2006 before China invades.

I certainly wouldn't want to place bets on it either way.

Works for me.

And I think it works even though it would inflame a billion or so people.

It would cause, on the part of the minority thinking such,

at least

SOME

dissonance that their 'Almighty' demonic moon god would allow such.

Might begin to allow some concretized idiot minds to conceive of changing.

It is my understanding that shortly after 911 -- in retrospect, probably as the Feds were expecting a nuke to detonate in NYC -- that GWB did put the world on notice that we would not shy away from retaliation after or in preemption of a WMD strike. It was in all the news and the media was wrongly reporting that GWB "changed" our policy; but GWB did not change U.S. policy. He simply announced existing policy loudly to the world.

Of course, this means nothing to the terrorists. And maybe nothing to the individuals of nations and perhaps even nations that are helping them, as we now see.

Yes, US policy has always been all WMDs are created equal. A germ or gas attack is the same as a nuclear attack, and will be responed to appropriately.

"Sageman found that the terrorist stereotype - of poor, young, single men from the dusty backstreets of the Muslim world brainwashed into committing fanatical acts - doesn't stick when it comes to al-Qaeda. Rather, most of them are well-educated, well-off, cosmopolitan and professional, with good jobs, wives and no history of mental illness. 'Some people at the conference were…a little taken aback', Sageman says. 'I could have been describing them rather than bin Laden's men.'"

Exactly true. Bleeding hearts who think Islamic terrorism is a byproduct of anything but pure evil should surely have their heads examined. Thanks for the post/link.

Quick synopsis of "smoke in the cockpit" airplane incidents since June '04....More than I thought so up my 10+ incidents since the fall quite a bit. This could very well be a problem that could now be occuring with a type of wiring, etc. But I would think that with numerous incidents the FAA would investigate this as a premise.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A Continental Airlines flight was diverted to Oklahoma City Friday morning after the pilot smelled smoke in the cockpit, according to an airport spokeswoman.

'Fight or flight' tramples airlines Passengers aren't waiting for orders from the crew in emergencies - sometimes to their own detriment.

By STEVE HUETTEL, Times Staff Writer Published June 20, 2004 TAMPA - His eyes were closed. Delta's 7 a.m. flight to Atlanta pulled away from Gate 72. The prerecorded safety message aired on video screens. Then, suddenly, the routine shattered when Norris Johnson heard the first passenger yell, "Fire!"

Johnson jumped up, saw a red-orange glow toward the front of the cabin and thought of Richard Reid, the al-Qaida follower who tried to blow up a trans-Atlantic jet with explosives hidden in his shoes. His gut reaction: "I've got to get off this plane."

"I thought it was something someone brought on the plane that ignited prematurely," Johnson later recalled. All but 12 of the 169 passengers bailed out of the Boeing 757 jet at Tampa International Airport last June 23 in an evacuation that the crew did not order and that Delta Air Lines says was an overreaction to a harmless engine fire. Within minutes, 33 were injured, most from falling off emergency slides. The National Transportation Safety Board still is investigating. Link to Article

Excellent analysis LIz, re Twin Cities guy arrested last week. The arrest does seem to tie in with Sec. Ridge's comments last week. Also, aren't the "Twin Cities" mentioned often on some of the Jihad boards?

Exactly. EOM was posting in December about upcoming attacks in the "Land of Two Cities." Minneapolis-St. Paul? Mall of America is the intended target????

A federal source would not say where Almosaleh's final destination was, but that source did indicate it appears Almosaleh had plans to travel beyond the Twin Cities.
