I know a lot of hunters and they hunt just about everything...quail, turkey, duck, deer, bear. I've yet to hear a story about one of them crawling around on their belly while they're hunting!! Good way to become a target!!

As a life long hunter of all game, I will say on the record that there is no game animal which requires someone to carry a "trusty 12 ga." and do all of those things he said he does. Can't some FReeper find out if he has ever held a valid hunting license? If so, I bet he did not have a big-game tag, or duck stamps or habitat stamps or any other special requirement to actually hunt animals.

You beat me to it. My thoughts exactly, except not even Elmer Fudd is that stupid. He at least walks around in a crouch usually.
What would he be doing crawling around with a 12 gauge? For partridge, pheasant and quail you walk 'em up behind a dog, for turkeys you sit still and call 'em.
Maybe he's in some state where you have to hunt deer with a shotgun and slugs. But whether you're still or stand hunting, you don't crawl around on your stomach. The deer would hear you and take off.
