WILMINGTON - In what has gotten to be a yearly event the NAACP leadership has taken a swipe at President Bush.
NAACP President Kweisi Mfume is saying that President Bush is treating the Black community like prostitutes by claiming to want the Black vote while snubbing the NAACP's annual convention for four consecutive years.
"We're not fools," said Mfume. "If you are going to court us, court us in the daytime, but not like we're a prostitute where you run around at night of behind closed doors and want to deal with us but not deal with us in the light of day."
Why won't he come?
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that in 2001 NAACP Chairman Julian Bond likened the Bush administration to the "Taliban". In 2002 Bond characterized Bush's civil rights policies as "snake oil". And last year, after Bush proposed to Congress and secured the largest relief dollars ever for the continent of Africa, and gave a moving and important speech repenting for America's great sin of slavery, Bond referred to the trip as an "exotic photo-op".
Mfume is now insisting that he be given a prominent speaking role in both political conventions.

Mr. Mfume, the president is speaking to you and all other Americans everytime he opens his mouth. Just listen.

NAACP President Kweisi Mfume is saying that President Bush is treating the Black community like prostitutes
Does anyone have a number for this numbnut. I'd like to give him a call.
That was the first thing I thought of and can't understand why the Bush camp doesn't just say it. Seems like a good enough reason to me.
"NAACP: "BUSH TREATS BLACK LIKE PROSTITUTES""
As opposed to what? The democrats systematically trying to put blacks back under the bondage of slavery, we all know as government entitlements? The African American community really needs to open its eyes, and take the blinders off.
Two words, Kwazi. Think of the "Cheney duece" as characterized by Dr. Charles Krauthammer.
After you have completed that, take the anti-Bush "James Bird" commercial, funded by the NAALCP, and put it where the sun don't shine.
Queezy should know about prostitutes. I think he has 6 kids by 4 mothers.
NAALCP: "BUSH TREATS BLACK LIKE PROSTITUTES"
Funny, I was just thinking the same thing about the NAALCP.
The NAACP stopped representing mainstream blacks and black issues a LOOOONG time ago. They are merely a veiled arm of the Ultra Left Wing of the Democratic Party oushing its agenda forward in the name of race relations and racial equality.
They make these outrageeous comments and then hide behind the word 'racist' if you dare to criticize the crap that spews forth from their mouths.
Hey, and maybe the NRA will get a prominent role at the DNC convention!!!
Alert! A simian avian anal event is on the horizon!

"Clan With a Tan" is, I think, a Ken Hamblin line.
The Republicans need to run ads that show Abraham Lincoln, with a caption like, "Abraham Lincoln -- A Republican" and hammer it and hammer it into the public's brains. The problem is that everyone wants to go negative, but sometimes there are positive ways to get the point across.
That's actually a great idea. They could also emphasize the first Republican platform, talking about why the party was formed in the first place.
BS.
The NAACP acts like a John that never pays up. They promise their black consitutuents ("prostitutes") a better life in order to get the black vote. So they steal the black vote without having to deliver on their promises. They haven't done it in 50 years, and they never will.
Poor Queasy, he still hasn't realized that the NAALCP has become as corrupt and unnecessary as the U.N. After Benjamin F. Chavis (now Chavis Muhammad of the Nation of Islam) used the origanization's funds to settle a sexual harassment case, the group has been on a downward spiral.
