Moore is Working with Terrorists to Distribute His Film
Deceit 56
As reported in the trade journal Screen Daily, affiliates of the Iranian and Syrian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah are promoting Fahrenheit 911 and Moores Middle East distributor, Front Row, is accepting the terrorist assistance:
In terms of marketing the film, Front Row is getting a boost from organizations related to Hezbollah which have rung up from Lebanon to ask if there is anything they can do to support the film. And although [Front Rows Managing Director Giancarlo] Chacra says he and his company feel strongly that Fahrenheit is not anti-American, but anti-Bush, we cant go against these organizations as they could strongly boycott the film in Lebanon and Syria.
Etc, etc. I can write the movie - who can film it and finance it????
FreeRepublic - wanna make a movie? Let's finance our own documentary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I work marketing - its my field - this article is good scholarship - bad marketing.
It already has been made: http://www.michaelmoorehatesamerica.com
His ideology is combining anger, dishonesty and ignorance for sales.
Case closed.
You are following your mentor, john Ffffin kerry, ala rolling stone.
Whew, JMO, you are out of it.
"It's a cheap shot. When voters in Missouri cast their ballots for the dead man, Mel Carnahan, they knew they were really voting for Carnahan's very much alive widow, Jean. The Democratic governor of Missouri had vowed to appoint Jean to the job if Mel won."
JMO, destro, you are not on "our" side, considering the posts and comments you have made for the last two years since you signed up on FR(6/19/02).
I have a question for anyone who has seen the movie.
It regards Bush's golf course terrorism comment, then his "watch me swing" (?) comment.
In the TV commercial for the movie it is made to appear that the one comment immediately followed the other. However, if you watch closely, it is clear that Bush's physical actions between the two have been speeded up to create the appearance of immediate succession.
I'm wondering if this is also true in the movie.
It would be interesting to see the complete, unedited tape of the appearance, ie the question about terrorism in Israel, and what was said between the two comments. And how much time was "speeded up." IMO Moore didn't want to make an editing cut apparent, so he engaged in some "Wag the Dog" video mischief.
Thank you, what an incredible resource!
I'll wait until the final version in National Review before I pass it on... we should spread this far and wide :-)
Bump for index
this post is chock full of very useful information for killing lib propaganda.
Wealth of information!
That is not an effective movie, IMHO - we need to atack the message not the messanger. Ignore Michael Moore all together and concentrate on events and facts.

"...Afghanistan as an Energy Transit Route
Due to its location between the oil and natural gas reserves of the Caspian Basin and the Indian Ocean, Afghanistan has long been mentioned as a potential pipeline route, though in the near term, several obstacles will likely prevent Afghanistan from becoming an energy transit corridor. During the mid-1990s, Unocal had pursued a possible natural gas pipeline from Turkmenistan's Dauletabad-Donmez gas basin via Afghanistan to Pakistan, but pulled out after the U.S. missile strikes against Afghanistan in August 1998. The Afghan government under President Karzai has tried to revive the Trans-Afghan Pipeline (TAP) plan, with periodic talks held between the governments of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Turkmenistan on the issue, but little progress appears to have been made as of early June 2004 (despite the signature on December 9, 2003, of a protocol on the pipeline by the governments of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkmenistan). President Karzai has stated his belief that the project could generate $100-$300 million per year in transit fees for Afghanistan, while creating thousands of jobs in the country.
Given the obstacles to development of a natural gas pipeline across Afghanistan, it seems unlikely that such an idea will make any progress in the near future, and no major Western companies have expressed interest in reviving the project. The security situation in Afghanistan remains an obvious problem, while tensions between India and Pakistan make it unlikely that such a pipeline could be extended into India and its large (and growing) gas market. Financial problems in the utility sector in India, which would be the major consumer of the natural gas, also could pose a problem for construction of the TAP line. Finally, the pipeline's $2.5-$3.5 billion estimated cost poses a significant obstacle to its construction.

True it's long, but I don't think this is intended to go out to the general public as leisure material.
I battle a Greenie daily in my neighborhood association forum in PA, a battleground state. The man is doing everything he can to turn this liberal area in the Poconos into a mini-Ithaca and he idolizes Michael Moore. This is a fantastic collection of rebuttal information for anyone regularly debating the lefties.
