You gotta wonder if this has something to do with those mysterious divers from several months back; perhaps they planted something in the waters.
Thank you.
If you've never been to one, let me tell you it's a treat. The sound of their passage is a physical force, and the wind of their passage can take your breath away, no matter what part of the stands you are in. It's a regular temptest.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A man accused of lying to federal authorities about shipments of communications equipment to Pakistan pleaded not guilty Friday in U.S. District Court.
Mohamad Elzahabi, a Minneapolis resident of Lebanese origin, didn't speak during his brief court appearance other than to acknowledge the charges and enter his pleas.
An indictment unsealed Thursday charges Elzahabi with two counts of false statements. He's accused of knowing about shipments of walkie-talkies and other equipment from a business he ran in New York, but lying about it to terrorism investigators. The equipment was recovered in Afghanistan by U.S. military authorities, according to a criminal complaint filed ahead of the indictment.
Elzahabi also told investigators he attended an al-Qaida training camp.
Prosecutors also charge Elzahabi, 41, with lying about helping a man get a Massachusetts driver's license under false pretenses. That man, Raed Mohammed Hijazi, was later convicted in Jordan in a failed bombing plot that targeted American and Israeli tourists, the complaint said.
We've talked about the black winds of death being bio terror for a long time and considering ProMed and the things happening with bio/chem all over the world it is very likely
This is not the first time for dry runs with suitcases in NY. I'll have to check and see if I saved the previous stories, there have been several around the country.
Bump! Thanks for yet another unheard FYI ;) Should I start asking how you find things no other TM'r does? -g-

I agree by midweek, will be a very busy weekend for news IMO
Al-Qaeda May Target Michigan
(From July 8 Article By Stewart Bell In The National Post)
Al-Qaeda wants to stage an attack near the Canadian border in Michigan, possible using waterways to reach its intended target, according to a Department Of Homeland Security (DHS) advisory.
Bulletin sent to state and local law enforcement agencies warns "Al-Qaeda may be considering unidentified targets in Michigan for a terrorist attack."
While the exact targets are unknown, the April advisory said that "as of late March, 2004, Al-Qaeda and Taliban supporters may have unspecified interest in the areas of Lake Michigan and Wisconsin." Unidentified terrorist(s) may be planning against targets in five areas of Michigan's upper and lower peninsulas.
The law enforcement bulletin says "The alleged attack may be supported by unidentified contacts already in Michigan, and the attack might involve a water-borne approach."

Asked if the timing of the terror concerns might be aimed at stealing political thunder from the announcement of John Edwards as the democratic vice presidential candidate, Sen. Tom Daschle, D-S.D., replied, "The report is so sobering and so serious that I cannot bring myself to believe anyone in this administration would use this for political purposes."
All these threats keep coming back to my state!
Thanks for the ping, granny. That post escaped my attention somehow.
It's not just about UBL. It's about a concerted effort by NATIONS in conjunction with AQ. Even those that act from secular or mercenary motivations are serving those who would proselytize through violence.
M'Dear please add these to your list!
My apologies for misunderstanding, M'Lady. You are "spot on" as our tea drinking brothers and sisters across the pond would say. :)
>> I'll have to check and see if I saved the previous stories <<
I'll look forward to the review. Thanks!!!
In Penn today is all I know
