FBI urges vigilance for July 4

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A constant stream of intelligence indicating that al Qaeda wants to strike the United States this summer or fall has led federal officials to urge increased vigilance during the Independence Day weekend, but there is no specific threat of an attack timed to the holiday.

Yes, but I mean "us" here on TM and I mean "raw intel." I was too lazy (tired) to spell it out and hoped HipShot would read between the lines. For example, if the alphabets said they picked up a phone conversation between 2 known al qaeda cell members and it mentioned the Brooklyn Bridge, a NYC Mosque, and strange references to "star," "key" and "Granny," well, we would have a ball with that puzzle here on TM. We don't get that type of raw intel, although we sometimes get it in Arabic messages on the web. I don't expect us to get that kind of intel in advance, but it's fun to think about it...

Definitely not a new statement. It was issued on 3/11. The original statement was issued in Arabic and sent to a London Arabic language newspaper.

Have shocked people for years, as I 'know' who the Cherokee people are. When I meet them.

I meant to ask you if you could be more specific and tell us some details here on TM. I know the gov has averted much, but they keep everything so murky and unspecific that it drives me crazy. I have to know! I mean we hear rumors of what attacks were thwarted here in the U.S., but that is not the same as knowing 100 percent and knowing the specifics.

Was there anything you were involved in that you can feel comfortable sharing with us right now? I know we will hear stories in the future, but are there any now that it is safe to share? I am concentrating on the U.S.
