The leaders of Rome thought the same way.

"The average hourly wages will be approximately $1.30 in China, $25.30 in the United States, and $34.50 in Germany " How can Germany survive for so long - and its people still do quite well ?? A very important question you asked there.I hope someone comes with an answer here.

HERE HERE.
This is much to do about nothing. What we are seeing is an unfortunate consequence of fundamental economic change. No politician or government can repleal the Law Of Competitive Advantage.

Thanks for the ping, Doohickey!
Notice that we now have poor job growth - which may well make President Bush's election more problematic - and at the same time we see increased pressure on companies to send more American jobs offshore.
And it isn't just factory workers:
It cites General Electric Co, Motorola Inc, Alcatel and Diemens AG as examples of companies that have set up research and development centres in both India and China "to leverage the substantial pools of engineering talent that are based in the two countries."
Indeed, the report undercuts the view that research and development jobs in Western countries will increase even as low-skill jobs migrate to nations like India and China.
Those who think they are exempt from this should think again - this will lower the entire U.S. wage structure and will ultimately devastate everyone as we sink to China's wage level.
If you want on or off my offshoring ping list, please FReepmail me!

Perhaps...but even the same super rich won't stay that way if the super poor can't buy products that support the super rich!

We don't have to backtrack. The socialist are simply giving it away. I see it more and more each day. I shake my head at it knowing that this country, as it was founded, is dying. Personal freedoms being given away, taken away, by the government, courts. Personal property being stolen away, sold to the highest bidder for more tax money. More taxing without anyway to stop it. It is sad, I agree. I agree that we could take it back. But, it would take a war. A real war. But, people have no stomach for it. And, the imperial federal government would send in it's storm troops to stop anyone who is taking about it. Thomas Jefferson said a little revolution now and then is a good thing (or words to that effect). That would get him arrested today by the same federal government he helped found. Today, he would be a target of the left-winged hate groups. Bet on it.

One thing they're not looking at is who will buy their goods when Americans aren't making money?I doubt the $1.30 per hour worker in China is going to purchase very much. So,when these goods come back to America for sale, and Americans don't have the money to buy the product because their job was outsourced, what happens then?
Take away my money and I quit buying non-essentials.I'll start worrying about food, shelter, and clothing ONLY.Do this to enough people and the economy will come to a grinding halt.No more cable, cell phones, vacations, new vehicles, credit cards, computer purchases,or any other non-essential high dollar items.
yeah,sounds like a great move.sarcasm

Excuse me?????? I've dealt with countless projects that involved "outsourced" work. The quality sucks. American quality is far far higher.

What we are seeing is the super rich taking over the entire world, the New world order thing where they "super rich" steal every penny from the rich, middle class and poor have. They steal your wages by sending your job over seas, and they steal your wealth with taxes, if you don't like it they throw you in jail.
But keeping voting for the globalists, they know that is best for you.
